How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewClean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Very friendly staff Location in the village and views Good breakfast Had two evening meals which were excellent Free crazy golf ! Daily cleaner - the lady i had most days was very thorough and very friendly (sorry didn't get her name). Dining room staff were friendly and helpful particularly Antonio (hope that's correct)
No air con or access to a fan, rooms were uncomfortably warm. Advised to keep curtains closed which shuts out the view when in the room and is then airless Hot drink facilities in the rooms would be excellent - to enjoy the view early in the morning or evening with a drink on the balcony. My room the bathroom was very small especially the shower area and floors slippy when wet. Step out to balcony also very slippery. Hotel advertised as having 'modern amenities', but only had very small tv and unreliable Internet. Our European plug adaptors which we've always used did not fit, not sure if you can advertise what your socket is (?? not standard European, my son a medical device needing plugging in? Rooms at the back are overlooked by the Glacier Hotel which was off putting to sit on the balcony.

Verified reviewMediocre breakfast, coffee was pretty bad The only real quality of the hotel is the location: Walking distance to the Diablerets cable car
This hotel needs an upgrade, it must have been decades since there was any meaningful maintenance done. Very hard beds Room, bathroom, restaurant, the whole place needs to be brought into the 21st century

Verified reviewWe stayed here for a night after skiing the nearby Glacier 3000. It had kind of an almost backpacker vibe (basic rooms), but location-wise, the property is excellent - a short walk into the village, although not much was open when we visited except for a local restaurant called La Potinière down the street, which had excellent food and good service. Les Sources' breakfast buffet was very nice (the usual continental fare, bread, cheese, eggs, pastries, yogurt) and their Illy coffee machine made some of the best cappuccinos we had on the entire trip! The staff was friendly but hands-off. You could pay extra for a set evening meal, and although there's no bar per se, we were able to order a couple of beers at the restaurant while one table of guests was finishing dinner.
The rooms felt a bit basic for the price, and there were no actual amenities.

Verified review- Close to Diablerets express ski lift - Accepts pets - Nice view from the balcony - Ok breakfast
- Free parking but no space was available when we arrived at 20 on Saturday. It took a while to find one. We parked for free by ski lifts, which was empty in the evening but full in the morning - this came in handy before/after skiing - about 5 min walk (there is a shortcut behind the hotel that runs along the river) - It is time to renovate - the beds and decor is old, and the bathroom was tiny. I suspect the owners see no need to renovate because it was fully booked in early February. - Soundproofing is bad - you can hear everything in the corridor and next door. - If it was priced 40-50% less vs what we paid I would give it an 8 rating.

Verified revieweverything was nice. room, location, views, staff . all staff at reception, house cleaning and restaurant was nice except a lady named DALILA who was very Rude.
only 1 staff spoiled my whole mood. otherwise i would have rated my stay 10. one lady named DALILA at reception was very Rude . When i asked her to reheat my food in microwave she clearly refused. Then i explained her that I had mouth surgery which was clearly visible looking at my face also . so i can't eat outside food and requested her to reheat it. but she clearly refused . then some aged man from restaurant came and helped me. thanks to him.
