It would be good if it had a restaurant as the public space is so welcoming we’d have liked to spend more time in the hotel

Closet smelled stuffy. Rooms were small and the slanted roofs made so that we had to lean to get to our beds. Same for the bathrooms. A kettle, some mugs, tea, coffee and A/C in the rooms would have been nice(aircooler was available) It is a bit remote, far from the big cities and popular touristic attractions (we should have done better research, so that's on us).

Very relaxing environment and friendly people! Tourist pass- we got to use the public transport and had some attractions for free! Good if you want somewhere calm to relax and not near any bustling cities like Geneva or Zurich. Source water available at every corner street was amazing and the neuchatel lake was good for swimming and cruise trips.

The toilet is outside of the bedroom which has a creaky door. Only one socket in the bedroom apart from hard to reach ones that had the bedside lights in. Shaver point above the light so useless. The shower is so low it makes showering difficult - above the head would be great. No hot water in the bathroom - not a problem for us but some people might like it. Parking is free - which is great - but generally you have to park over 5 minutes away if either of the 2 bays is occupied. Also no coffee or tea facilities.

The location is excellent. The tourist card is a bonus - especially the free boat trips. Also the bus stop is close. The couple running things were very friendly and helpful. The bed was enormous and super comfortable.

No a/c, we had 30°c during the day and the room was so hot it made it difficult for me to fall asleep. Also, no shampoo and vanity kit, which I found strange for a hotel of this standing.

The only thing that we would change would be including a small fridge in the room, definitely could come in handy especially in the summer that is getting increasingly hot every year.

A lovely place in a beautiful and peaceful area, with an easy and quick bus connection to the city center. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom too. The communication and early check in were easy.

Really comfortable bed with great pillow! We were driving through Switzerland so only needed one night and this was perfect. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff. The village has a little bakery and cafe for a snack as well as a restaurant. It’s a 10 minute walk from the lake where there is a choice of restaurants. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities but other than that, it was great.

Missing personnel rather early in the day (if you're out for and early dinner, after it will be already late for the personnel to be there), you'll get the keys using a code and help yourself to the room. Not a tragedy, ok, but misses some "human" effect.

Really good value for the price. I come here often and I recommend it.

One of the window coverings was broken (this was an attic room), making it impossible to close fully and leaving a lot of light to enter the room at night, requiring a sleep mask. There is a bath, but unfortunately no good place to hang the shower head, nor a high enough ceiling to do so even if they wanted to. This does mean that you can't really take a shower instead of a bath if you wanna just be quick about washing.

It was a spacious, pleasant room with a nice bed. It's a quick walk down to the lakeshore to visit the amazing archeology museum, and a nice walk to Neuchatel from there. There is also a bus to the centre from close by, and another one down by the shore. I was easily able to extend my stay by a second night upon request. There is a bath.

Coffee or tea in the room would have been appreciated after a long trip but this doesn’t seem common in Switzerland.

Lovely atmosphere about hotel and its location. A little gem. Great to be able to get the bus free down into Neuchetel and back.

No kettle in room. Room rafter that had to be avoided if moving around room. Incredibly small bathroom. Limited parking (2 places) but we got lucky with that.

Very friendly staff (young man) at check in. Only one flights of stairs to room. Quiet room.

We had a bathroom with full bath, however it was hard to use it, especially for my tall husband, because of a low vaulted ceiling right above the bath. Also, there was a rather low vaulted ceiling on one side of the double bed next to the window, so that I had to lower my head to get in/out of the bed, and I am just 160 cm high.

The hosts were friendly and rooms were clean.

Do not expect wide spaces. No fridge in the room. Hairdrier missing.

In an era of modern hotel chains, you can still find a calm, old-style, family-run structure. Warm and friendly staff, secluded place away from noise, fantastic old building. I really enjoyed staying there even if I needed to commute to neuchatel every day. The hotel provides a free pass for the buses for the whole duration of the stay, which is super.

The shower was in the room but the toilet outside, for private use of that room (#8), but outside, which I didn't find very convenient. Tall people will need to watch out as the ceiling is below the roof, so it gets lower on one side of the room.

I had a very good rest and they offer breakfast which was a nice surprise (the description when I booked said there was no restaurant and no breakfast). The room I was given was nice, there was a table to work (I was there on a business trip). The bed was comfy. The lady is caring and nice.

Room is not soundproof at all, our neighbor started to shower at 3 am which woke us up.
