Bathroom way too small and hardly up to standard. Plastic shower curtain. No shelves or sufficient hooks to place items or clothes.

Maybe that on the map is close to the rail station and on the fact is more then 700 meter hill up. So if you are not coming with a car you have to call them to collect you from the tail station.

The room layout makes no sense at all. Why would I want people from one room with separate beds to be able to come out and enter main bedroom attached to kitchen? --> Nightmare! Also, the lake is at least 15 mins. walking distance away so if you thought you are right on water...you're not. Finally, I'm sad we left a bottle of good wine behind but hopefully someone enjoys it and thinks of us! :D

The front desk people were so kind a friendly. I will say there are a lot of instructions they gave at beginning so maybe for people on vacation just a list of top 10 highlights they need to know? I like that it has this cool lakeside feel.

I wish that the property had air conditioning or another fan. The hotel got very hot during the day.

- You have to book an uber to get up to the hotel or call their shuttle service for assistance (check-in & check-out only). Otherwise, you’ll gonna have to hike your way up which is pretty tiring and takes around 10-20 mins. - Breakfast is pretty plain and bland, not much variety but it can do

the SPA is only composed of two sauna and a hamam but in my opinion, there should be at least something to bath in, a swimming pool, a hot tub or something like that.

This place is strange. Some of the areas are super dated and need ungraded, like the pool entry. I was appalled by the first room they tried to give me. It was hideous, pink, weird metal bed frame and netting. When I asked them for another room I was rudely asked, did I ask for a specific room when I booked? Lady, I paid almost $400 for this room, it better be nice. So, she switched me as the only other free room had yet to check it, sorry for them. Some areas in the room where not cleaned at all— the balcony had not been refreshed I found someone’s used contact lens on the chair, floor and one of the chairs was broken. When I brought this up to them upon check out they seemed completely unfazed. I cannot believe they also held a 200 franc deposit! The wallpaper also had some stickers peeled off. Absurd. The restaurant only has 2 people working and dinner, so don’t expect much for service.

Cleanliness, we had a caterpillar / worm infestation under the sofa. Didn’t change the bins inbetween previous occupants stay which had dirty nappies in.

Beautiful property. Close to downtown Brienz and train station. Nice for walking distance. Beautiful views and a great breakfast with cute playground if you have children.

Lots of mosquitoes and spiders from outside+a bit noisy because other rooms they don't close the water pot at the night.

The view from our bedroom was the money maker for us! We spent so long enjoying the beautiful view of lake brienz. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and lush. Walking distance to train station and lake with plenty of parking on site which was convenient.

- Restaurant time is limited. - Gas stove did not work - Approach is difficult by foot - Difficult option for family with small kid - Needed more light. Room was bit dark with the number of lights and their intensities. Needed one fan in the smaller room

- The view was excellent - Room size - Kitchen was fully equipped with utensils - The staff were very good - Very good choice if you want to have a leisurely stay, or want to visit other places and come back at night for a relaxing sleep. Does not have a lot of options nearby in easily accessible and walking distance.

Window needs net so it can be left open in summer. Shuttle needs to run longer in the evening as lugging luggage through the slope and 700 meters was very tiring.

It was too hot here during the day in June 25 and there was just one small standing fan which was not enough for the couple. Secondly no elevator and it was difficult for us to climb stairs to the 3rd floor and also hard to bring up and down the luggage without an elevator. Thirdly no intercom was available at room for each and every query you have to go yo the reception without an elevator, fourthly when you open the windows for ventilation the flies came inside the room and was annoying,

Location was excellent but it is on top of the mountain and you have to have enough stamina to walk down and up during your stay. Good scenery and greenery all over.. breakfast was exceptionally good,. Coffee and tea arrangement at room

There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, but I think this might be common in the region. Also, there are no irons in the room and the hotel charges 15 chf just to let you borrow their iron. I found this to be unacceptable.
