How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

1 the bath room was not bright enough and was pretty small 1a the shower curtain is too long so that it clogs the drain 2 this was the smallest wash basin I ever saw no.t very comfortable to shave 3 the room and the bath room did not have any convenient outlet near a mirror so he hair dryer use was awkward 4 the room did not have a side table on one side of the bed nor di it have a CO hello near that side to charge phone or tablet I hat all in all

We actually had another hotel booked for the night but when we stumbled upon this one, we couldn’t resist staying here instead! 5 stars for customer service, the lady at reception put us up for the night (even though it was short notice) she gave us a choice of rooms which was a very nice touch. The views are incredible and the same can be said about the food (breakfast and dinner) incredibly comfy bed, guaranteed to give you a good night sleep

Maybe that on the map is close to the rail station and on the fact is more then 700 meter hill up. So if you are not coming with a car you have to call them to collect you from the tail station.

It was a hot day, whole apartment was feeling like we were in a sauna.

Not worth it. I’m giving 2 stars only for the location and the view (which is available all over Switzerland for free), but otherwise my stay was very disappointing. I understand that air conditioning is uncommon in Switzerland, but that doesn’t make summer heat any less uncomfortable. The hotel provides only a flimsy fan, and their solution is to suggest opening the windows — which have no screens. This means bugs of all kinds come directly into the room, and it also feels unsafe for families with children since there’s no protection at the windows. Once you accept my money, I expect you to provide basic comfort. Instead, I ended up with two sleepless nights, waking up to bugs all over the room and even on the bed. Very frustrating experience. At the least, provide this information on your and other booking websites so we can make an informed decision.

Verified reviewThe front desk people were so kind a friendly. I will say there are a lot of instructions they gave at beginning so maybe for people on vacation just a list of top 10 highlights they need to know? I like that it has this cool lakeside feel.
The room layout makes no sense at all. Why would I want people from one room with separate beds to be able to come out and enter main bedroom attached to kitchen? --> Nightmare! Also, the lake is at least 15 mins. walking distance away so if you thought you are right on water...you're not. Finally, I'm sad we left a bottle of good wine behind but hopefully someone enjoys it and thinks of us! :D

- You have to book an uber to get up to the hotel or call their shuttle service for assistance (check-in & check-out only). Otherwise, you’ll gonna have to hike your way up which is pretty tiring and takes around 10-20 mins. - Breakfast is pretty plain and bland, not much variety but it can do
