Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved being able to lay in a super comfy bed and watch the world go by… and in a quiet area… Whilst not in the city centre it is only about a 5-10 minute walk (on flat ground). The green bus runs regularly for free and this will take you to the city centre… (about a 1 minute walk to the bus stop) This property is only a 5 minute walk to the cable car to go to the Matterhorn..

United StatesI did not realize during research and booking that the bathroom was on a lower level which was a bit inconvenient for me three months post knee replacement surgery.
The cottage is very unique but a little tight on space. Bed was comfortable. The main hotel hosts were very nice and helpful as we did not quite follow the process for picking up the keys!

United Arab EmiratesI am writing to express my disappointment with our recent stay at your chalet in Zermatt. While the room was advertised as a luxurious chalet, it was anything but that—cramped and far from comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the experience was far from what we expected. Upon checking in, we were informed that our luggage would follow us to the room. However, that never happened. We had to wait outside and coordinate with the taxi ourselves, with no one there to assist or welcome us. The next morning, when we inquired about having breakfast accommodated in our chalet, the staff member we spoke with was visibly annoyed and informed us that it was not her responsibility. We were directed to check with the chalet staff, who were actually the same staff members. By the time we returned from our hike later in the day, it was too late to order breakfast in our room, as we were told this had to be done before 3 PM—something we were not informed about earlier. This completely ruined the romantic aspect of our stay. The solution offered, to have breakfast at the hotel 15 minutes away, was unappealing given the subpar service we had already experienced. We certainly did not feel inclined to spend an additional 60 CHF for a breakfast that should have been a simple and enjoyable part of our stay. To add to our dissatisfaction, when we asked for directions for a hike from Zum See, the staff member treated us as if we were ignorant for even asking. Zum See may be a restaurant, but it is also a well-known starting point for hikes, and we would have appreciated a simple, courteous response instead of condescension. This was our first time encountering such poor service in Zermatt, a place we visit regularly. The overall experience was far below our expectations of luxury and hospitality, and it left a sour taste in what was supposed to be a special trip.
