Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything in particular that we didn't like. If i had to pick one thing it would be the heat in the room at night, with the window open it was quite noisy with the trams passing by.
The staff were really helpful and just so friendly. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and told where we could find everything. We had asked about Wickelfische's and they advised we could borrow some from the hotel at no extra cost. The place was immaculate and had the best scent when you walked through the entrance.

AustraliaWhat is not to like! We loved the kind welcome from staff on arrival. The staff were attentive and available to help with anything we needed throughout our 9 day stay. We enjoyed the breakfast especially the porridge and fresh omelette options. A good addition would be more pastries rather than just bread, rolls and croissants. The room was a great size with great bathroom and amazing rain shower. The towels were fluffy and products supplied were divine. The free mini bar with a section of drinks and snacks replenished daily was a welcome treat in the afternoons! Having arrived in the middle of a heat wave we knew air conditioning may not be enough (Swiss have strict govt laws for sustainable air conditioning systems throughout the country) but the front desk supplied a fan which got us through the peak days perfectly. We loved the terrace bar and visited it throughout our stay. The location was great for walking and also for accessing trams. The free trams card gifted at the start of our stay meant we travelled free everywhere although we had prepurchased 7 day passes prior to arriving at the hotel which cost 50chf each - so would have been good to know this before arriving. We loved our gifted chocolate blocks on checkout. I had several friends (4 bookings) also book and we all loved staying here whilst our sons performed in the 2025 Basel tattoo.
