Very central, very nice room, very nice with all respects, very nice staff and excellent breakfast

The location is very nice and the staff members were helpful.

I understand that single rooms are the cheapest option, but it just happened for me to travel on my own this time, so I didn’t want a double room. However, if I knew that my room would be on the -1 level, opposite to the laundry room and next to the spa I’d not book it. Woken up early every morning and it just didn’t feel like I was staying at a 4 star hotel… As well very poor breakfast. Wouldn’t come again

Everything was wonderful, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. They helped us with hiking plans and even loaned us some hiking poles. Very friendly staff. Can’t beat the view of the Matterhorn! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place for a stay in Zermatt.

Terraced rooms facing Matterhorn are worth the splurge as they offer ever changing views of the most photographed iconic mountain and create a picnic atmosphere.Full view windows and door open up to beautiful floral Zermatt. Room was clean, comfy and had fridge,safe,tub/shower combo.The spa area was small but cosy and only had a few guests each time we visited. Breakfast rates excellent in service, selection and,stunning views with eggs to order,lots of fruit.Zermatt can be pricey but we enjoyed the room terrace for pickup meals and drinks.Stayed 4 nights, hotel was quiet, immaculate, and in heart of Zermatt 5 min stroll to Gonergrat rail,Coop grocer,train station,info/ticket center. Book with confidence.We stayed July 2025 peak season and hotel seemed quiet, calming spa like,relaxing.We unpacked upon arrival which atests to the laid back relaxed atmosphere.

No deal breakers with Metropol Hotel, a couple of stairs on entry-they have a electric vehicle pickup service.Spa could get busy as it's small area but luckily we found it quiet.Rooms are carpeted which we prefer not.Slippers and robe provided.

Needed a room overnight, and got it for a very good price. Was on groundfloor but still so high up that people didn´t see in my window from the street. The room was spacious and very nice and clean, shower and shower facilities were very good. It also had a small fridge so I could keep my drinks cold (it was very warm in Zermatt when I was there) The hotel had gym, sauna, pool and hot tub and I´m probably forgetting something. The staff were very, very, very nice and helpful and gave me alot of tips of what to do and see in Zermatt itself. The breakfast was very good. Checkout time was at 11am or 12am, not really sure. The hotel also has the option to keep your stuff safe after you check out if you want to do some more sightseeing before you leave. Really nice hotel and if I ever come back to Zermatt this will be my first choice to check out for room.

Tbh, I don´t recall anything that I didn´t like at this hotel.

The view of Matterhorn from our room. The neighborhood is a bit off from the center town, so, it was quiet, yet close to train station, etc. Our room was spacious with good bathroom. Dining room was very nice! We enjoyed breakfast there.

Firstly everything was exactly as advertised. All of the staff were exceptional and the spa is well worth a visit. Location puts everything within a short walk. We would not hesitate to stay there if visiting Zermatt again. Views of the Matterhorn from the room were remarkable.

The hotel staff ware all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very delicious. We could see the beautiful Matterhorn from the terrace of the room.

Everything! Fabulous location, comfortable, restaurant great especially breakfast and Stephanie at reception was amazingly helpful and fun to deal with. Great to have a ride to and from the station.

Absolutely incredible view from my “lateral view” room - I could sit on my balcony and enjoy a spectacular view of the Matterhorn. The location is perfect, close to the train station and to the cable cars and Gorengrat railway. The staff were all incredibly friendly and there was a great selection at breakfast. The pool and spa was incredible. Swimming with a view of the Matterhorn - I miss it already!

The position is very handy, central, easy walk from the station but the riverside gives it extra space and calm.

Amazing location, wonderful stuff, I broke my leg first day, so I ended up spending next 5 days mostly in the hotel and all the employees were so nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I will come.back and would definitely recommend the hotel., Price was also very reasonable for Zermatt.
