Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandIt is getting a bit too lax. For example in the bathroom there was no shower gel in the dispenser and the shampoo dispenser was broken. The staff were not really clear if parking outside was free or subject to a fine. The room cost has gone up a lot so not really great value. In the past the whole hotel area has been buzzing but it was pretty dead this weekend.
We stay at this hotel every year in August/September. It is convenient and comfortable. It used to be great value for money but the room cost has rocketed this year and we are not sure it still great value. The staff are nice and pizza we had was great, reasonable value and nice service We like the funky nature of the hotel.

FinlandAirconditioning would have been nice.
The selection at breakfast was really good. The parking in the underground garage was a pleasant surprise, and the parking places were bigger than normal. There was also elevator access from the garage directly to the hotel.

SwitzerlandSome dogs were not well-behaved, and I found it quite unhygienic that they were allowed to run and sit on the sofas.
The staff was friendly, the facilities looked modern and well-maintained, and the coffee was good.

AustraliaThe Hotel suits my needs, I can't think of anything that I don't like. If I have to pick one thing maybe it's to broaden the food menu for dinner
Ive stayed at Moxy Sion a few times now and every time has been a great experience. The hotel has a good vibe mainly due to the staff's friendliness and how they interact with guests. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and suitable for what i need. I'll be staying there every time I visit Sion.

IcelandVery clean room, really comfortable bed. Unfortunately the TV was not working properly. Also the AC system that is used at the hotel is pretty annoying and doesn't allow you to change the temperature ( some sustainable system that the whole hotel is using).

SwitzerlandSome ventilation issues as some nights I could smell cooked food in the room. You can crack the windows though so that is helpful.
This is my second time staying at Moxie. The first time the bed was too hard, but this time the bed was very comfortable. The staff is really courteous and kind. I do wish the rooms were better sound proofed, I didn’t hear any outside noise from the road but you can hear people in the hallway very clearly — so bring headphones or a noise machine/app (which is what I had). I do wish they had a do not clean/disturb door hook to let cleaners know whether the room needs cleaning. Overall fantastic stay.

IsraelThe main flaw in the hotel are the rooms. Feels like being in Japan or Singapore, where place is limiting. The room I had was very small just 19m^2, almost no place to move; the bed was OK, room clean and shower nicely equipped. Don't expect too much from the soap, shower gel and shampoo; bring your own. There is no place to open a suitcase, not to speak about two or to store, no closet in the room and especially no place to store clothes (just a couple of hangers) The parking is quite problematic, not always a spot is available, and the fact that one has to pay 12 CHF to park is a bummer, especially as the are no free parking spots available on the street. The hotel is at the edge of Sion (at the south east part): it is about 1.5 KM from the center, I walked downtown every, but most people will need to take a bus. To summarize, the hotel is overall OK for a short stay , but I would have expected a bit larger rooms with more amenities.
The Moxy @ Sion has the feeling of a young hotel with happy vibe, and the staff is taking an active part in this. The reception and the entry floor are nice: the type that one would like to sit at the bar, or sit and watch a movie/match on the big screen TV. Also there are many niches one can sit and work at a desk, on the sofa or in a chair; with plenty of sockets to hook a laptop/mobile phone/tablet. The breakfast is good with many choices to choose from.

SwitzerlandTo offer parking without the option of charging an electric car is rather 2015, not 2025 - please get that fixed. The TV screen shows the option of connecting a Chromecast device, but it didn't work, because some WiFi security measures were introduced later which broke this functionality. I was able to hack it, but most users are going to be disappointed. WiFi engineer didn't talk to TV engineer - therefore it broke.
Parking is CHF 12 per night which is a decent rate.
