Regarding your concerns about the bed and pillows: while mattress preferences are always highly individual, we are sorry to hear that the bed was too soft for your liking. For the pillows, we would have gladly provided a firmer alternative upon request – something we are always happy to arrange to help ensure a more restful night’s sleep. Therefor we’re sorry about the noise disturbance during your stay—there was a one-time party in the Eatery that caused this. Regarding the beds, they are from OBA, a Swiss brand renowned for quality and comfort, and our bedding is usually highly praised by guests. We are sorry that it was not to your liking. Of course we also have different linen for the bedsheets upon request for you. Nevertheless, we’ll review this to ensure a consistently comfortable experience. It’s great that you were able to explore Basel easily and found our staff to be friendly and professional. Therfore, we are sorry that the bed wasn’t as comfortable as it should have been and that you missed having air conditioning. We waive traditional air conditioning due to environmental awareness. But as you already acknowledged we use Dyson fans and an air cooling system to provide a pleasant climate in the room. Already we are looking forward to welcoming you back again in Basel soon!
