Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This place was great. Ursula, the hostess was very welcoming and helpful. She explained things simply and spoke great english. The room was great, comfortable bed, clean, everything i needed. It also came with a voucher to visit the spa/sauna around the corner which was great. Would definitely stay here again.

HungaryThe accomodation provided everything I needed for my stay. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was also quite good. My room was nicely decorated. The only thing I could mention as a bit disadvantage that the bed was very soft for me.

SwitzerlandWell, it's the Engadin, so prices are expected to be high. But at least worth it.
Really superb hotel in an old Engadin house in the beautiful village of Samedan. Run by the owners who try everything to make the stay memorable for their guests. Very well located for cross-country skiing.

SwitzerlandHaving to leave on the 05.45 train the morning after, I really felt like staying longer!
My room was comfortable and clean, the hotel is beautiful. but most importantly, the people were so welcoming that I was sorry I was only there for one night. Sadly I had an early train and couldn't sample the breakfast or go to the thermal bath; that will be for my next visit!

SwitzerlandCentral location in the picturesque and cosy town. Ticket to Mineralbad included in the price. The wellness is a great experience! The host, Ursula, is very friendly and warm-hearted. Kettle, tee, and coffee in the room. The room was nice and clean. Fine breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs are prepared if you want, some local products, good bread, and coffee! GermanyNothing everything just perfect.
Ursula Monhart is the heart and soul of this nice cozy place. She makes you feel you are entering a Ritz Carlton type of a place. Very nice very professional and just perfect after a 4 hour drive from Munich. Rooms are clean and nice. Breakfast hard to beat, just perfect. I really enjoyed my stay and sure will be back in late May. I received many valuable tips for my photography trip around the area.

This quaint hotel was perfect for our short stay in the area. Very close to St Moritz and close to many amenities - from pharmacies to restaurants to supermarkets. Ursula, the host, is very lovely and does her best to make sure your stay is excellent! Looking forward to staying there again.

Switzerland- Cleanness. The room was dirty and dusty. There were dust and spots on the furniture and floor, dirt on the rugs, and even the tee spoon was dirty. Nothing changes on the second day (photos provided). - Breakfasts. Products (yogurt, eggs, etc.) are not replenished during breakfast (not after 9:30 nor after 8:30). Minimal selection of vegetables (photo provided). - Price. I would not complain about the price if the room were clean. However, it is around 50CHF more expensive than a room in *** hotel with higher quality standards (cleanness, breakfast, team, etc.) in the same city in the same season. - Toiletries. The only toiletries were many small (10ml or 15 ml) 2in1 sachets (shower gel + shampoo) that were inconvenient to use. To get hands soap, we had to ask at the reception. - Location and noise. The description says that the hotel is located near the church. However, it isn't any information that it is located exactly under the bell tower that rings even at night. - Reception and team. The reception is almost always closed. Stuff speaks German and Italian but not English. - There is a coffee machine in the room, not a teapot. So if you want to make tea, it will smell like coffee. Per day two capsules of coffee per two people are provided. It was my 4th stay in Engadin during this season; also, I visited the region many times in previous years and have never met such poor standards.
+ Room looks like in the photo. Our room was bigger than the average room in *** hotel. But, because it was in a maisonette, the useful space was less than the actual size because of the low ceiling + Beds are quite convenient. + Samedan

SwitzerlandBefore going, I asked if I could bring my luggage in the morning and the answer was yes, no problem. When I arrived the door was closed and there was a phone number. I called but got the answering machine. So I had to carry my luggage all the time till I could check in. Also the staff was not really client oriented. At the end, I did not even get a good-bye from the person who asked for the signature and I did not even got a receipt. It was also the first time that I paid fully through booking and had to sign a receipt by the facility.
I like the fact that I could use the Mineral Therm Facilities, everyday if I wanted. It is only 3 minutes away from the hotel.

IrelandIt is not a hotel. It is a pension or glorified B&B. Reception is non-existent. There are no common areas to sit, meet or read and no bar. Food is only served in the morning and it is really basic. If you don’t get down in time, the buffet runs out. When we finally got the room we had booked (after 1 night in a tiny room), the room was meanly furnished. 1 pillow ration. No soap. Shower blocked and not fixed, despite the owner knowing about it.
Very little. It was clean and close to the very nice spa.

IrelandIt's not a hotel, but really a B&B / pension. There was no bar nor anywhere comfortable to sit apart from our room, ie., no separate area like a sitting or reading room. The only communal areas were outside the bedrooms or in the dining area which was locked after breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet and very limited at that. No hot food served, apart from our last day (4th). Food ran out if you were not early. Just a bit mean and definitely not good value at CHF20 per head.
Very little to write about. The room was spacious when we eventually got into the one we had booked (on our 2nd night). Furniture was adequate. The room was warm. The house keeper / waitress was friendly. The boot room and parking were fine. It was a bit like Fawlty Towers once we saw the humour in it. The spa close by (2 minute walk) was really nice and a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

United KingdomMost things could have been better. We stayed in the Palazzo suite and the room was just adequate. Very small bathroom and few creature comforts. At least we had 2 small squares of soap and 2 pillows on the bed unlike our friends who got tiny rooms with low ceilings. 1 pillow and no soap. They asked for more and were told it was not possible. There was no service. When we arrived we had to telephone to get someone to let us in. The garage was frequently blocked by parked cars. All the lights were low energy dim lights and the place was dark. Breakfast was extra and bad value for money, with a limited range and once it was gone that was it. On the final day they actually allowed us to have hot food. There was no bar, no common areas, no service. Wifi was pathetically slow and the whole place felt mean. We understand it is under new ownership so ignore older reviews
Christina, the house elf was pleasant, Samedan was charming and the spa was surprisingly good.
