There wasn’t a thing that we didn’t like about the Phoenix.

We could see the Matterhorn from our room. It was located close to restaurants and the train station. The breakfasts were delicious! So much to choose from.

We had a view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. It was unfortunate that our stay coincided with a freak storm which deposited more snow at the time of year than normal. We lost power for a time and with the amount of snow around what otherwise would have been a short distance to food outlets and the centre of town became impossible. If the amount of snow was not there the hotel is a 6 minute walk from the centre of town and well located. We were particularly appreciative of Yolanda who was absolutely fantastic. The snow however was magical after the storm and it was fortunate the trains re-opened when we were due to leave. Otherwise we were very happy with the hotel which is a lovely property.

Very minor but I would have liked a bit more body wash and shampoo. The little bottles provided daily were just too small.

Wonderful, helpful staff, super clean room and a great breakfast. The fact that the hotel after check out, enabled me to ski in the day and provided a shower and changing facilities before late afternoon travel, was brilliant and really appreciated.

A better selection of pillows would be great and free refills of coffe capsules would make the stay more welcoming. I was surprised that Apple pay was not an accepted method of payment. But overall a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is relatively new. Common facilities are clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Ski boots rack is heated and you can enter the elevator straight from the ski room. The rooms are quiet and clean.

Bed was fine. Could use new mattress as mine had a bit of a dip. Shower is a bit small but not a big deal. Room can be a bit warm at times with no individual temp control.

The staff was a bit rude but not all of them, my son was snapped for asking for a bar of soap. The beds are small and uncomfortable, if you leave the door close you feel hot if you keep it open bees and other insects come in.

It was very close to the city center and train station everything is walk away, has a great view of Matterhorn. It was very pleasant to wake up every morning to fresh air and beautiful view of Matterhorn

there was no possibility to have a takeaway early breakfast, and breakfast could only be opened 5 minutes before the scheduled hour so we were in a rush to catch the train

it is close to the train station extremely clean good coffee in the room wonderful breakfast with an amazing presentation by someone working there they helped with ordering a taxi so we could reach the glacier express in the morning quiet we got 2 rooms connected to each other which was perfect cozy bar

The hotel itself was stylishly modern and ecologically focused. Constructed of high-end materials like stacked stone and exposed wood accent walls, the rooms and property had a sophisticated feel. Perhaps more important, the reception desk staff were superb. Jolanda, in particular, went out of her way to orient us to the environs, to recommend hiking trails and restaurants, and to engage us in pleasant conversation. We were sad to leave!

Room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were excellent and had such a good variety. The staff kept up with clearing the tables discreetly and kept the food restocked. The staff was so helpful and friendly and ready to make our stay as great as possible.

Just stayed 2 nights in Phoenix hotel. The location is pretty good , just a 7 min walk from Zermatt station. The breakfast is very complete and they even offered me a GF bread as I am allergic but overall I will highlight the great and friendly service from all the staff specially at the front desk. Friendly, polite and always willing to help with anything! I will definitely return if coming back to Zermatt.
