Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThis accommodation is a great choice for a stopover on the Rhine route. It has a bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen, which was perfect for preparing dinner. The place is rather basic, but clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, the host only speaks German, so we couldn't communicate much beyond the essentials.

NetherlandsIt was a bit hard to lock our room. As it is an old house, you can hear everything. It was a bit hard to check-in by ourselves.
The room was so cozy, clean and there was enough space to sit and put your stuff. The bed was massive and comfortable. There was enough parking space. The bathroom (one floor down) was clean. It was only 10/15 minutes away by car from Vaduz. I could have stayed here a day longer. Kind owner and great that we could use the kitchen if necessary. There was a big fan, as it was quite warm when we stayed. The windows could also be opened and it was great there was something to keep the mosquitos from coming in.

United KingdomIt's a beautiful old farmhouse and I enjoyed staying there. The old wooden design makes the building a bit noisier because of the noise from the wooden floors when people are moving about. Not a problem for me, I liked the atmosphere. From my room the toilet and bathroom was downstairs and through a kitchen. Not a problem for me but might be a nuisance for some people.
Friendly and helpful owner, great location, access to kitchen, provided coffee and muesli.. Very interesting traditional farmhouse. Like the owner, the dogs and cat were friendly and good to meet!

United KingdomIt was a very windy day...the shutters blew open, and the whole building felt like the Hab in the film The Martian. The bathroom, shared was cramped but there was plenty of hot water.
Lots of character. Loved the goats with bells. Authentic.

IrelandThere was nobody at the property to help with check in. Another guest did help to find my room number. I met no staff/host during my stay.
The room was very comfortable and warm. The host was quite helpful with information.

PolandThe house is in a stunning location. It was the best holidays we have had in the mountains. Not many people are suited to village life and many will not like the facilities or noise, but personally it was a good experience for me.

United KingdomThin walls and very creaky stairs so you hear basically everything the other guests are doing. Shower and toilet are in the same bathroom so everyone needs to queue for the same room.
The house is super cozy and the other guests are all very respectful of the shared spaces, the area is very quiet and close to nature. Personally I love a house with lots of animals and they're all super friendly, my dog also enjoyed the room :)

NetherlandsLike they state, the house is old so u hear literally everything so u have to be extra cautious at night, also, the shared bathroom is a big minus.
One of the most unique places we have stayed it, there is definitely a lot of personality in this building. The room was nice and cozy enough. Also the use of the kitchen and laundry facilities were nice. Super close to Liechtenstein.

United Arab EmiratesThe stairs creak a lot but i think still acceptable. The only issue are the thin walls and other guests can get quite loud. This is the only reason I didn't rate it 10.
Wonderful welcoming host Alex - made us super comfortable traveling with kids. Stayed connected to us before our arrival and gave us detailed instructions (which included advice on how to avoid a difficult neighbour). The host has dogs which my kids loved, and Alex was so lovely with my kids it made my kids super super happy. Even though the house is old, the room is quite well decorated, and overall home is very comfy, with good artful decor. Great place for anyone looking for a great value for money location to stop over on the way to central Switzerland.

United KingdomThe property has 2 dogs and a cat in it, so doesn’t feel the cleanest and smells of animals. Also our room could only be locked from the outside by padlock so couldn’t lock the door while we slept
We were visiting Vaduz but all accomodation in Liechtenstein was too expensive. This property was on the direct 24 bus route (only 10 mins from Vaduz) and so made our trip far more affordable. Very well stocked kitchen to cook own meals.

United KingdomCan't fault them as the hosts are open about this, but it is an old house so is crackly. But other guests were respectful so it was not much of a problem. If you have allergies to animal hair I wouldn't come here, otherwise if you love animals, you will be able to pet some cats and dogs which was great.
The location was great. You can get great views of the mountains even from just the garden. It's the last house in a village so it's separated. In a clear evening you can see all the stars and the lights from the houses on the mountains. The house is always kept very warm. The kitchen is well equipped. Spices, oil, cooking pan, everything is available. I was also able to a laundry wash. The hosts are very friendly people. You can tell that they care about the guests. One night there was a windstorm outside and they came in the evening to make sure everyone is alright. Liechtenstein is very close. We walked there, it was a good 1 hour walk. You can't beat the view though.
