How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Perfect location with 5 min walk to Thun lake. Quite and peaceful. Good breakfast and comfortable stay.

The only thing I would improve is the fact that there are no blinds, just curtains and there is light coming in the room, especially in one of them that has a small window with no curtain so our baby woke up way too early due to that
Our favourite place to stay in the area of Thun, fully refurbished, the staff is always super kind, they have in the room soeder soaps that smell amazing, and they always take good care of us as vegans for breakfast! Plus they have air conditioning which is not so common to be found

Room a bit sparse, no spare pillow. Arrived on Monday when reception and restaurant closed so had to find our own way around
Spacious room, with comfortable beds and good shower. Breakfast ok and dinner good. Extremely helpful and helpful (Italian) waiter.

It was a great stay. We choose this hotel based on the previous reviews and we were not at all disappointed. Everyone is so helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel has it's authentic beauty with clean rooms, nice view over the mountains and it's placed 2 minutes from the lake, with a boat station right in front. Also, the restaurant is really nice, delicious breakfast and great dinner. For sure, for our next stay in Thun we will choose again this hotel.

Breakfast needs to have more variety. We could hear some noises from rooms beside us in the evening
Room is spacious. Bus station is in front of hotel. 10 mins to Thun center area Lake is 2 mins walk. Staff was so friendly and food was good. Room view was spectacular.

Just a small detail that would have improved the room which was to provide a kettle.
I stayed for three nights while exploring Interlaken and surrounding area. The superior room was such good value - very clean and spacious bathroom. The breakfast included was lovely and one day they even packed a lunch for me as I went off on an excursion. To top it off, the staff were very nice. Highly recommend Italian Lifestyle Hotel & Osteria Chartreuse!

Sadly the restaurant was not open when we visited, not a negative comment just unfortunate as it looked like it would have offered some great food.
This small hotel is just outside Thun - no more than 5 minutes to the city centre. The property is very well maintained with lots of traditional wood in the dining area. We had a very good breakfast with a good variety of choices. Excellent quality bedding/pillows and one of the most comfortable beds we have experienced! The hotel has a large car park to accommodate guests.

No problem for me, just note that you have to walk stairs to the upper floors where the rooms are. In my room the hot water from the shower just took an eternity to get warm, but once it did, it was OK.
The hotel is conveniently located, plenty of parking available. The hotel has a restaurant, which seems quite popular in the area, it was basically full at our arrival and the booking system did not allow for another table reservation (was just checking). The room was very clean and cosy, very nice herbal soap in the bathroom. it has a small meeting room with a printer, bookshelf and information bulletins, complimentary coffee, water and apples. Breakfast was served in the same restaurant, a nice selection of local cheese and wurst, the waitress also asked us if we wished coffee or eggs - which are then frehshly prepared. Good access to the center of Thun even by foot, or public transport.

The restaurant was closed Monday and Sunday.
It was close to the lake, had a delicious restaurant attached and staff was helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and spacious enough. The soaps were high quality and scent was pleasantly aromatic. Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

Only down side was no real fridge for food nor AC and we were miserably hot until heavy thunderstorms helped cool down slightly.
Spacious room, bathroom well appointed and everything appeared relatively new / high end finishes that were installed properly. Beds had individual little topper mats so it wasn’t a true queen but quite comfortable. Easy walk down to the lake and multiple parks / swim locations, also right at a bus stop for 5min ride to center of town (free with the card they give you).

It was very warm in the room. We didn’t sleep so well, because of the warm air in the room. There is no air conditioning and no airflow. We couldn’t have windows open, because the restaurant was working late and the noise from street is very loud.
Dinner was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was very good. Amazing coffee!!! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We liked the size of the room. Cleanliness is on point.
