There were a few things we didn’t like. The entrance to the rooms (if not accessed through the restaurant) was through a back area cluttered with random waste, bottles, and rubbish bins, which didn’t make a good impression. The building is quite old, and although everything was clean, the equipment and furniture showed their age — the toilet seat, in particular, was very worn. We also found the pillows uncomfortable: they were big but very flat, and not supportive.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The view from our room over the lake and mountains was beautiful. The room was clean and quiet, and we slept well even though the street outside was nearby — it wasn’t busy or noisy at night. We also appreciated having tea and coffee available in the room. Breakfast was good, especially the cheese selection. Parking was easy and convenient. Would definitely recommend for one night stay.

My kids’s room the shower didn’t work properly and the pillows could be more comfortable but other than that everything was great.

It wasn’t in town but the bus from the station stops right in front of it, which makes very convenient. The view was unbelievable to the mountains and lake. The host was super nice. Great restaurant, we ate dinner and breakfast there and both were great. We loved the patio area with such a beautiful view.

photos are deceiving, professionally made, you expect a nice, big freshly renovated place in contrast you get a decent, dated room. On the other hand by the time you get to the room your heart gets a bit stuck, again because of the deceiving photos since you're being lead through the restaurant, downstairs towards the toilets, to a seemingly dark basement corridor that leads to all rooms... you later realise the building is built on a hill, has 2 levels, only top/restaurant level having windows on all sides, rooms do have large windows towards the lake side. Speaking about large windows, the other dissapointment we had is that heating gets turned off after about 12am till somewhere before you get up but you luckily get a nice thick duvet. You get a rather lame breakfast in terms of choice but at least cheese and jam were fairly good quality.

The price per night is hard to swallow but still ok compared to other accomodations in this area. Breakfast was average.

Nothing to dislike. However, few things to keep in mind. Bus stop is very near to this hotel but the frequency of bus on either side (interlaken or Spiez) is hourly basis. So plan your travel accordingly. In this hotel (and other hotels also) staff is not available 24/7. They work like 6 AM to 10 PM only. So if you are coming late at night, you may not be able to check in. But this is the issue with most of the hotels in Europe. Breakfast is decent but not lot of options specially if you have seen the pictures of the breakfast in reviews you would be disappointed.

Very Good view of lake from the room and around the property. Rooms were clean and well maintained. They provided almost all the things we expect in a stay. Staff was very friendly. Whenever we asked to heat up our food, they did it with smile..no arrogance or angry face. In fact , when we informed the staff that we will leave next day early morning, they provided some breakfast for the next morning even without asking for it. The staff was really helpful and kind.

I had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. The location by the lake was beautiful, and the bus connection was a nice bonus. A great choice for a relaxing break.

The corridors that led to the room have a scent of "old", and the entrance leads to the restaurant's garbage bins which can be quite smelly. Not the most pleasant path. There was also a restaurant above the rooms, but the food was unfortunately just ok.

The location was wonderful, and so was the view from the room. You can just walk out of your room and down to the lake, swim a bit and get back to the room. Just wonderful experience to swim during sunset and sunrise. I would certainly stay again. The hotel is very cosy too, and it was a great value compared to other similarly priced hotels.

We read the reviews from other guests, so we understood, and we knew ahead of time about these two (thus, it's fine with us). The room is located below the restaurant (so it's an 'interesting way' to go down into the room), and the short cut to the parking area is through the side door where the big garbage bins are located (it's the easiest way to load and unload bags from your car, but you don't have to go this way). Again, we knew about these ahead of time, so it's okay with us, and we had a pleasant one night stay here.

The location is perfect for what we need for one night stay, very convenient car parking area on the property in front of the entrance, view of the lake from our room balcony is superb, only a few minutes walk down to the beautiful lake, modest simple room, but it has everything we need, warm welcome and departure from friendly staffs. Thank you, we had a wonderful one night stay.

As a dog owner, I always greatly appreciate it when my pet is accepted in the hotel, and that alone makes us very happy. In this particular case, the room was very spacious and the terrace area with a view of the lake and immaculate lawn made our afternoon coffee feel like we were in paradise. Seeing my little dog relaxed on the grass was a gift. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Everything was very clean.

I would prefer to see the lake during breakfast, but they use the good-view restaurant area only for dinner. That does not make sense because when it is dark we don't see the lake anyway. They should organize breakfast in the lake view area.

Simple, clean and comfortable room with small terrace and great view of Lake Thun. Friendly staff and easy parking, restaurant on site. The hotel is between the railway line and a local road but we weren’t bothered by the noise. We‘ll stay there again!

A fridge in the room would have been appreciated. The price felt a bit on the higher side, but then again, it's Switzerland.

The location is quite nice, especially with the lake view from the balcony. It's convenient to have parking, and being near Interlaken is a plus.
