Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRegistration is on 7th floor. 2/3 elevators we’re working. Window view is into inner part of the building facing another window.
Centrally located.

SerbiaOur room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We loved the option of taking a complimentary drink instead of daily cleaning – much better than bothering the staff, and the cocktail was excellent. You can always grab extra towels whenever needed, which was convenient. The staff were genuinely kind, and breakfast was varied and plentiful. It’s not cheap, but compared to what you get – and to the surrounding price level in Geneva – it’s actually good value. Finally, the location is perfect: a strategic base for exploring the city and enjoying the nightlife. Highly recommended.

United Kingdom- No kettle/coffee in the room --> They had a library/hot drinks room but how to get boiling water from the tap wasn't the clearest and the cups were takeaway ones. - Not really anywhere to put away non-hanging items. - Not many places to hang towels
Basically everything: Staff. Food. Drinks. Breakfast variety (mainly cold food). Location. Large bar/restaurant area. Roof terrace. Shower (powerful rainfall). Bathroom products. Quality of sleep. Speed and ease of check-in and check-out. Value for money (in Switzerland!).

United StatesThe location was hard to find at first. We were not made aware ahead of time that you have to go in the mall strip to get to the location. As well as one elevator was down and the elevator buttons were kinda lagging. As you know, in Switzerland, drinks are expensive. The front desk offered us free drinks if we didn’t get our rooms cleaned. They said, “keep the environment eco friendly clean”, but I don’t understand how asking for fresh towels and a clean room will affect the environment.. I don’t know if there is short staff or what but of course we took the free drinks when a cocktail in Switzerland is 20 francs! Additionally, our room was very small for two people for the price we paid.
The room was clean, very modern design, the room had AC, the bar was nice to visit up on the rooftop. The bathrooms were very nice.

CyprusI would not feel comfortable staying in the room with someone else - they are quite small (i.e. sink in the room, not in the toilet/bathroom, and the shower is practically inside the room). But for staying solo it was perfect.
The location is perfect - right in the centre, with shops and restaurants nearby. Very clean and stylish rooms, and also nice toiletries in the room. The breakfast is delicious, and I had a meal in a bar in the evening, which was superb and not very pricey.

United StatesThe hotel is hard to find. It has no door off of Rue de Rhone, but rather a door in a mall under the building next to the McDonalds. Reception is on the 7th floor and the rooms are below. Once you figure this out, it is fine, but it was confusing at first. Breakfast is outrageously expensive at 35CFH which is over $40 so we ate elsewhere. It was hard to get coffee in the room. There was something called a galley on each floor which was supposed to have hot water and instant coffee (ewww) but the hot water spigot didn't work, so we went up to the bar for take-away coffee each morning.
Location is excellent! Walk to Lake Geneva, Old Town, Bot Garden etc. The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. It is in a very tony part of town (Tiffany, Cartier, Bvlgari, etc.) if this is the shopping you are looking for (we were not.)

SingaporeBed frame corners are a safety hazard. Due to space constraint, you will inevitably slam your legs on those bed frame corners as you walk pass it given the tight spacing between bed and wall. So, be careful. Would be nice if Geneva free transport card is provided upon check-in instead of needing to request for it. I assume many miss out on free local transport because of this
Very original concept. What other hotel do you know of has a guitar amp in every room, and allows you to borrow one of their guitars to play in your hotel room? Free drinks if you choose not to have your room tidied up everyday is good. The fact that the hotel is right in central Geneva (walking distance to old town, and the famous fountain) was fantastic.
