The bed was not that comfortable from my perspective, but it was good enough for one night. I think a bit more communication at check-in would have been helpful. For example, there was a small fridge with two bottles of water, but it wasn’t clear whether they were included in the price. I assumed they were, since no one asked about minibar charges at check-out, but clearer information would have been appreciated. That said, these are really just minor points to mention.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the location of my appointment. Check-in was very easy and straightforward, with little communication. I had prepaid for the room but still had to pay the city tax upon arrival. To my surprise, I received a free upgrade. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely terrace. I also appreciated that the room had a fan (no AC), which was very helpful since it was still quite warm in Switzerland at the time. The room was quiet, and I didn’t hear any noise from other guests. Check-out was just as easy as check-in—I simply returned the key and left. I didn’t try the breakfast because, in my opinion, it was too expensive. On the positive side, there are several free parking spots around the hotel, which was very convenient.

We stayed here due to the price and other reviews. There is good parking and the check-in was good. The staff member was lovely. The room had what we needed for the night. The fridge with cold water was a nice touch. There is a bakery just next door for breakfast.

I stayed in the hotel studio apartment which had a small kitchen with halogen cooking plate, sink and a large fridge-freezer, but the utensils were very very minimal. No tea or coffee making facilities and three very old pans. I had to heat water in a pan for hot drinks, which took a long time on the cooking plate. There was also a light smell of old cooking oil. Maybe there I was just unlucky and the previous guest fried something.

Very clean, plenty of parking, well situated for motorway access, quiet location at night. Bakery next door and a few fueling stations nearby.

The bathroom is dated but still very clean and functional. It is a bit outside the center on a large road, which was a little loud but we were very happy with our stay. The WiFi did not work most of the time for us.

Very clean and nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The balcony is fully fenced off as well so our dog enjoyed lying in the sun on the balcony.

My room was renovated the cheapest way possible and it clearly showed. Bathroom still old (small and green as we were in the seventies) Bed ok. And clean. Already many small damages everywhere in the room. No airco or fan. Small balcony but as this is almost next to the main road, lots of noise. Hallway and stairs were shockingly old and tired. Carpet in the hallway and stairs should be removed asap. And guests should leave there shoes inside their room and not in the hallway. Breakfast was very good (24 francs) & fantastic coffee.

The entrance to use during the night was not clear, because during the day you can access the premises from the restaurant. The reception could indicate how to enter the hotel in the night during the check in phase.

Hotel pillows are always very flat in Switzerland. It was no exception here, but with two pillows, all was fine. The elevator wasn't working when I visited.

The hotel stayed open for my late arrival and had parking as requested. The hotel was clean, well appointed in the room, though some furnishings in common areas are dated and could do with renovation.

Bed wasn’t too comfortable, wouldn’t recommend if you have neck or back issues. The room was incredibly hot, even with the window wide open and the heating turned off, made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep.

No curfew, so could leave and enter whenever. Cleaning staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend learning german as they don’t speak much english.

- No power sockets next to the bed - very squishy bed (not really a negative, but more a heads up if you have bad knees/back - The hosts were very friendly, but they didn't speak a lot of English (we need to stop expecting everyone does!) But again a heads up to learn German or have a language translation app

- Full size mirror - 24hr access with a key to the side side - Great shower pressure & heat - Altho a bit of a walk from the banhof it was basically a straight line/could not miss. And local bus stop right near the hotel.

Small family-run hotel not far from the Liestal town centre, which is easily accessible by bus. Even though it's close to the main road and the highway, the rooms are quiet. The single rooms are a bit on the small size, but well equipped and with a comfortable, modern bathroom. Good wifi and nice breakfast buffet! There's a restaurant on site but it's closed on Mondays.

We stayed 1 night for the Eurovision. We easily reached the hotel by train from the SBB station. The best part was once we arrived. The owner himself, knowing a taxi would have been to expensive and that it would have taken us long to reach Jakobshalle by public transportation, offered to take us by car. I haven't seen an act of kindness like that...probably ever! They were all very helpful and welcoming. They also upgraded our room free of charge. It was a clean room with everything you might need for a quick and comfortable stay. THANK YOU ARBEN!!!!
