Our room was very spacious for our family. It was great to have a small kitchen and washing machine when travelling with children. The location was perfect for exploring as it was a quiet street but very close to busy areas with restaurants, trams etc. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and high quality food. It was served in a very pretty patio area which was lovely.

Basel is a very expensive city so you do have to pay higher prices than you might in other places. However, we had a very comfortable stay and would recommend it..

Wouldn’t book apartments again, they felt disconnected from hotel and not staffed in evenings. Not that child friendly but for adult only I think still good choice.

Check-in and check-out was easy and the place can store luggage. The staff we talked to were very nice and helpful. We also found the location to be very good and close to the old town. The kitchenette worked pretty well. When it comes to cleanliness the bed, kitchenette, bathroom and shower room were clean.

The floor was quite dusty, which implies superficial cleaning for a longer period. When we turned on the light in the morning we discovered a long-tailed silverfish crawling on the floor (which we manage to kill). You can of course get unlucky and get these bugs anywhere, but there is also correlation with a lack to deep cleaning that gives them an opportunity to breed.

The only glitch was some kind of motor sound during the night while the AC was running. It would kick in every few minutes all night long. A staff member said he would look into it but never followed up and it did not resolve.

I didn’t liked the breakfast. Every day they have the same breakfast and not so many options. The breakfast was in the other hotel with 3 *. They have to serve the breakfast in the hotel were we stayed, instead of that they have caffe shop and the use their imagination good, but not for the breakfast!

Clean. Modern. Comfortable bed and setup (multiple sinks, closet, shelves), good shower, real fridge, Nespresso and coffee pods. Able to open window. AC and having control over room temperature. Very good breakfast. Everything was great. Staff super super nice and helpful. Excellent location: Walking distance 3-15 minutes to shops, restaurants, old town and river, besides tram access in front of the hotel to anywhere around Basel w a free pass.

The depth of the cabinet above sink/fridge is the same as the depth of the counter… hits head!! Everything was great and we felt we could stay longer comfortably.
