I’m really not fussy and I’m not looking for any luxuries, a decent place to relax in and cook in does the job. However, even though this place ticks the boxes and is really clean, and even though the owner is super ok online, this apartment is a throwback to the 1970s… Sure it has the amenities and everything but the bathroom needs a complete renovation, the toilet cover keeps falling and you need to hold it with your back while sitting on the toilet, nothing on the floor to stand on when you leave the bathtub, the light is very poor, also in the really spacious room- the light is extremely faint, and I was dying to have a little night lamp by the bed…Honestly, Ikea provides it with next to nothing and this apartment runs with the 1970s in mind, with the minimum minimum cost devoted to it - and after all, the price is NOT that low - comparable with hotel rooms ( true, you can’t cook in hotels). I would invest a little bit of what tenants pay ( it’s not gonna break the bank, I’m sure) and think a bit about the year 2025 - it’s Switzerland for goodness sake, and I had much much better conditions in Romania and poor areas of Sicily.

Well, the location is really good, just 2 tram stops away from Basel SBB, a pleasant and peaceful area with a COOP store about 10 min walk away. Great location and good value. Near the zoo and just a couple of minutes walk to the main tram line. The Basel Card to get free travel was a bonus too .Ideal to have a kitchen as well, as cooking at the apartment saves a lot of money. Easy check in and out. No issues.

Bathroom edges etc dirty. Extractor hood didn't work, dangerously low with sharp edges. Hob old, no pans suitable for oven use. Broken fridge left in situ, could have swapped out for a cupboard. Could do with a refresh.

The room key is released from a safety deposit box located on the ground floor of the building based on a 5-digit code received in advance by email the day before the accommodation. Bad luck for us, when we got there and entered the code we did not receive any key. A very bad situation considering that no one answered the phone either but there was pleasant, soothing music playing. We waited with our luggage in front of the building, luckily it was not raining at that time. We are optimistic people and we entered the code into the digital box several times, not believing that each time we did not receive any key. After several messages on the Booking platform, a caretaker came and personally gave us the key to an apartment.

The bed frame was a little ran down, and it could be changed or at least deep cleaned (luckily the mattress was comfortable though). There could be a few more towel hangers in the bathroom.

The location is great. The tram station is very close and the railway station is within walking distance. There are also a few supermarkets in the area. The apartment itself was warm, clean and spacious. The checkin and checkout process was very easy.

the kitchen lacks cereal bowls , everything else ok. It is a bit dark in the apartment 02, because it is in the basement. During the day you have to switch on the lights. Advantage: in Sommer it is quite cold inside

Very clean apartment, check in very easy, you enter a code and get the keys. Lots of space. Wifi and Tv work well. Great location! 2 stops to the center. Supermarket next corner. Good value for money

The room has the thinnest curtains you could possibly imagine. It's like having no curtains at all. That's simply not acceptable. You NEED to have proper curtains .

Good location - 2 tram stops from central train station. Spacious. Full kitchen, you can cook dinner. Bed was comfy, shower was tight but I guess that's how showers are in Europe. Price was really good, 100eur considering basel art week and the location was a good deal. Easy to find the keys, enterr the apartment directly, no contact with anyone.

You can’t close the door in the bathroom! This is really a no-go. the shower doesn’t work properly - the water isn’t flowing correctly and in the bed the blanket was too short so our feet was outside.
