It is a very large and well equipped apartment with living room, enclosed patio and Library/study. the Kitchen was well equipped (although I would have liked an electric kettle.). The bedroom is large and the bed very comfortable. An excellent breakfast was served in the guest dining room. it is a home for retirees so not perfect for younger people but ideal for us oldies. The ferry to Zurich stops not far from the building and the SBB train is a very short walk away. Save money on a posh hotel in Zurich and stay here.

SwitzerlandA bit more information upon check-in, e.g. how to open the doors after 08:00 pm or that no kitchen utensils are available would have been helpful. The key contains a chip that opens the door via a chip reader from the parking garage to the hotel. Also, there are 2 parking spaces, one in front and another one in the back separated by a boom. The key allows you to access the separated "private" parking space behind the boom, which I only found out by chance. As mentioned, although the room was billed as "apartment" and there was a stove there was no cooking utensils, i.e., no pots, pans utensils etc., only a few plates, cups, cutting board and a very limited amount of cutlery. We came prepared and my guess is if you need cooking utensils you can check with the front desk, but note that the front desk is not manned after 06:00 pm. There is no additional info in the room on access after hours, frequency of room cleaning etc.
The place is clean and the apartment we stayed in spacious and comfortable for 2 people. The Interieur is basic but comfortable. What is missing, despite a fully functional kitchen, are adequate cooking utensils. The room has a dishwasher, dining table and chairs, sofa relax chair and a double bed. The toilet/shower is suitable for differently abled/seniors and comes with a variety of toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, dental kit etc.), towels and a hair dryer. The room is not cleaned daily and we did not check if and what the frequency of cleaning is. The room also did not get cleaned after we put the sign "Please make up the room" outside the door. We had limited interactions with the staff, what little we had was pleasant and professional. As mentioned in the "to be improved" section some more details/information upon check-in would have been helpful. The room does not have an own washing machine or ironing facilities. In section C, where we stayed, a shared ironing/washing facility can be found in the corridor. Also in the corridor is a well-stocked library. Within the property a wide variety of services such as hairdresser, podiatry, massage, sauna, pool, etc. can be found, however, I am not sure if temporary guests can use all of them We tried the restaurant and it was OK, nothing special, service was good and attentive. The daily menu is displayed in the elevator and you can either have a multi course menu, or choose items from the set menu or order a la carte. The restaurant ha a salad bar and if I understood correctly it doubles as eatery for the resident senior citizens. A wide variety of courses geared towards senior citizens as well as live music/performance events are advertised, however, I am not sure if these cost extra. The apartment has a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard and the church.
