It is somewhat dated.

This is a hikers paradise. It is an old,old hotel,(1880),so on the third floor the bathroom is shared but the second and first floor rooms have their own bathrooms. The place is a view in every direction with hiking everywhere in the summer and sledding in the winter. If you want a taste of rural Switzerland with vintage appeal, this place is for you. We really enjoyed the place.

Wi-Fi should really be standard by now, and a short welcome message after booking with basic check-in instructions would be a simple yet valuable improvement, but overall, a very satisfying stay and definitely worth recommending!.

The owner is exceptionally dedicated and helpful – it’s clear he truly cares about his guests' comfort. The place was spotless, the kitchen very well equipped, and the surrounding countryside is simply stunning – peaceful, rural, and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The value for money is also excellent.

The owner is very friendly and helped us any time we needed something. The location is perfect because it is a bit far from the main cities closeby but not too much. It's an amazing place to enjoy some peace and be amazed by the surrounding landscapes. And it is cheap compared to other options around the area.

We had a wonderful time at this amazing chalet! The location offers breathtaking mountain views and is situated in a quiet area near Interlaken. Shared bathroom was in poor repair. The rubbish bin needed emptying and was full of wet tissues and clogs of hair from the plug hole. The shower didn’t fix to the wall and was just a hose on the floor of the shower enclosure. There was stuff everywhere in the bathroom, empty toilet roll tubes, half used products, old ornaments and tat. The back of the toilet seat hadn’t been cleaned and was sticky with yellow urine and pubic hairs.

The family had lots of people in the house so the noise continued until mid night. And was only one toilet and shower for so many people. So I felt uncomfortable and had to wait for a long time. The beds were very average. The kitchen felt like it was there family centre.

Since you share the floor with multiple guests it's hit or miss if you have enjoyable neighbors. The bathroom is shared so again, hit or miss.

The location is quite remote yet close to Interlaken and touristy places like Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. The result is that it is really beautiful and calm. Good for hiking!

It can get a little busy when many people are around since there is only one bathroom and we think an area to sit outside would be nice. We‘re sure the host will implement some more ideas to improve everything.

The location was fantastic, completely away from tourist spots, making you feel like you’re in an untouched valley where you can also go for scenic hikes. Yet, you're only 15-30 minutes away from popular attractions. The host put in a lot of effort to ensure we were comfortable and quickly implemented our feedback. He will continue to make improvements to this still-new accommodation in the future. Additionally, the host provided us with plenty of tips for the surrounding area. The kitchen is well-equipped and in the village in the valley before you’ll find supermarkets. You shouldn’t expect luxury, but that's exactly what adds to the charm of the accommodation. There is everything you need and the host was always available. It’s all about having a place to gather for a fair price (and to not hang on your phone). We also appreciated that the host places particular emphasis on welcoming “odd” visitor groups, which is often only possible with an extra room at inflated prices. We would definitely come back and bring more friends.
