How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewRoom was good like the photos, cozy. Good location near to everything.
Parking were so full and so tight especially the underground. Breakfast was disappointing we went there and everything was finished and it wasn’t even the time they close, the tables were all unclean.

the exterior of the hotel was not outstanding but this was made up for by the great room - restaurant food choice was not very extensive but again ok

I did expect the floor to be clean when we checked in- the material is a wood looking material (so dirt is not so visible ) - but the dirt in the corners got never removed- not to mention the staircases inside the building ( which had some kind of a carpet which was really filthy

Verified reviewGreat location close to town and restaurants, lovely spa, really welcoming staff, good size and clean rooms, nice breakfast.
No toiletries apart from shower gel (would have expected at least shower cap and/or body cream, cotton wool etc). Bar often not open in early evening, meaning had to use pool bar with much more limited selection. Children asked to leave spa at 6.30pm, even if no-one else in the spa.

Verified reviewThe views from this hotel are spectacular. It is slightly higher up the mountain in Montana but happily there is an escalator that travels between the village and the hotel. Bus stop and access to cable cars is also right outside hotel entrance. It is well worth being higher than the village for the views, trust me! The staff were excellent and the rooms are stylishly decorated and very clean.
The air con really wasnt great, but the outside temperature at night in summer isnt overly hot anyway due to the altitude of Crans-Montana.

Verified reviewWe had a truly worst ever experience as a family of 3 arrived to a hotel reception to take a key and a group of 10 adult man arrived from Netherlands by cars as an organized tour aggressed us brutally. They were against we take a key (though we were there before them and there was only one overwhelmed receptionist). My husband calmly said that we were here already, we just need to take a key as we checked in and they started to shout back aggressively in there language, called him a cowboy for his hat and acted brutally and ugly. We sent a message after entering the room to the hotel team about a situation , they agreed that this is not appropriate but took NO action towards the group, so next day walking to the breakfast my husband was getting again their toxic comments. Looks like a prison image from movies - I do not know if this group came directly from thier with such behavior. We were not comfortable moving around the hotel with a child during our stay, felt unsafe and humiliated. With an understanding that hotel team can not know the culture level of guests arriving, this is absolutely thier responsibility to proactively react at the spot on the agressive behavior, as well as explain the aggressive groups how they shall behave on the management level - as aggressing for no reason a local family with a 3yo is absolutely a no go.

The rooms are small , beds are tiny , the bed sheets were very rough , our toilet had no towels , soap ran out after the first wash , no amenities . The hotel is too expensive for the standards it offered !

Verified reviewI loved the decor of this hotel, it was modern but also comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. The wellness area was very relaxing and was great after a day of hiking. Due to the location of the hotel we could directly go hiking or go into the town of Crans Montana.
