Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

The property itself is absolutely brilliant: beautifully maintained, comfortable, and set in such a stunning location that words can hardly do it justice. Our family had an unforgettable trip here, and it felt like a home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay relaxing and memorable. Difficult to describe it …. You need to live it Nick’s home is a true paradise. We will definitely be back. The view, the location, the pool … everything was perfect. And the best part is Nick and how welcoming of a guest he is. The wood barbecue was the cherry on the cake ;)

The house itself was spacious, clean and nice. There is everythibg a family needs for the vacation: equiped kitchen, laundry and drying machines, towels, bed and etc. Just come and enjoy your vacation home! The view is amazing. Some of the hiking tracka starts just outside the house. The owner - Nick - was very welcoming and helped us with any questions we may had 🙂Nick prepared frrsh baked bread for our arrival! That was sooo delicious 🙂and the pool is extremely relaxing after all the hiking activities. I highly recommend 🙂thank you!

CanadaWalk to home from Hinterfingen was up a fairly steep hill. Good exercise, however, a little tiring if carrying luggage or groceries.
Host was on-site and very welcoming and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and unique. Amenities as advertised. Gardens and pool are beautiful. Views of lake - excellent. Close to Thun and locations to the south.

United KingdomWe liked everything, wish the swimming pool was heated but it's not a big deal. I didn't realise the lower part of the accommodation was occupied by the owner when I booked the place, it was obviously a perk.
An amazing place with stunning views of the Alps! The place is extremely clean and comfortable. Nick was amazing as a host and made us feel at home throughout our stay. Very accommodating and helpful with everything we needed for our stay. The kids had so much fun in the Pool and enjoyed the fire pit as well.
