No drinking water was given. Although the tap water in the bathroom was drinkable but not everyone likes drinking water grom bathroom tap. Lift is only till 1st floor. You have to carry heavy bags to 2nd floor by hand.

Location, cleanliness and the breakfast with home made Marmelade and lots of cheese.

the only issue I had is wifi. you dont have wifi in room. you have to come in the lobby downstairs to use wifi. I am not complaining for this issue because we knew before we book the hotel. I am just suggesting to provide wifi to your future guests, Internet is a essential part in today's life.

Absolutely delightful family run hotel. The pictures don't give it justice. It's not a corporate soulless place, the style is very much 70s. You can tell that it has been really well maintained and all upgrades are in the keeping of that style. We were just around the corner from the lake which was great for an evening picnic. You get a visitor card on arrival which allows you to use the town bus for free, making moving around Interlaken super easy.

On their booking site, it’s stated that check out is at 7-10. Since there’s no one at the reception when we came down a few minutes past 7, i rang the bell several times. A man finally came out and said that they only open at 8, clearly disturbed by my ringing (sorry, we didn’t want to miss our bus). He said to just leave the key and emphasised that they only open at 8. And so we just left the key and went. Felt like we could have left on a better note since our stay was lovely, but oh well.

The lady at check-in was lovely and helpful. She also served us breakfast which was such a delight and felt very homely. There’s a lift. Room was clean, cosy and spacious enough for us both. The shower was a bit cramped though. And the bus stop is just a short walk away to get to Interlaken.

WiFi in communal area only (which could also be a good thing). Rooms are very warm/hot, whilst you can air opening the balcony doors, the river was quite loud.

Great location away from main Interlaken centre (few mins trip via free bus) but next to the lake and ideal for routes straight up to the main feature. Great staff with family feel, very helpful excellent food.

Communication with hosts was complicated sometimes. No hairdryer (yes, it's not in the description, but would be nice to have it for the accomodation price paid). Everything is old (though, in a good state).

Located outside the busy area of Interlaken, only one block from Lake Brienz. Easy bus access from Interlaken Ost train station. Hotel owner was very welcoming. Delicious breakfast with fresh baked breads.

for 4 nights we stayed they serve cold breakfast only and i requested for egg, but they said they dont have. wifi is slow.

the place is quite and you will definitely feel that you are in switzerland. the view is amazing and they provide guest cards. our hotel in zurich and zermat dont provide those. Madeline is very accomodating too and nice.

Our bathroom, the shower was too small, hard to turn around in without sticking to the shower curtain, And the toilet was so tall my feet couldn't reach the floor. Weird. Breakfast very limited. Hotel only takes cash.

Mom and Pop hotel. Location was very good, as long as you didn't have to go back and forth to Interlaken. The bus stop was very close, if needed. Little grocery store and bakery short walk away. Restaurant OK, Dinnertime a daughter was there to serve, and help with English translation of handwritten menu. Wonderful homemade desserts. Nice little patio/deck to sit outside on. Free parking. Family business, friendly and helpful. Glad to put money in their pockets.

No Wifi but this is clearly mentioned so its ok for me. would be better to have a hot water or a kettle in room that guest can use especially when its after 9pm.

It was very easy to find with the instruction from the owners, it was pretty easy to locate. Just get onboard Bus 103 to Bonigen see from Interlaken Ost Bus Station. I love that my room has a balcony and have enjoyed the view during my stay! There was a breakfast with good options daily. Bed was comfortable and there was hot and cold option. The Lake Brienz is also a 2 minute walk from the hotel. It was quiet and really peaceful so i really enjoyed my stay.

The rooms need a general update and the hotel just needs a little tlc and it would be fabulous.
