We had our own inflateable boat and it were easy to launch boat in the lake just across the road. Nice wieu and access to the Lake. Good breakfast buffet and Restaurant for lunch and dinner. Big free parking lot. Hotel not new but cozy and with only 9 rooms it has a relaxed atmosphere. We liked hotel is a bit away from the Brienz city as we needed parking for boat trailer.

The hotel is not directly at the lake, but a road is between. And behind the hotel there is a railway. It's not a quite place. One of the louvers was broken and not nicely fixed. Obviously there was a water damage in the bathroom so the door could be closed only with brute force and the carpet was affected also. The outdoor facility is not new, looks not properly maintained.

It was a long walk from the main train station35 minutes which is a lot if you’re carrying bags. A taxi was 25 francs. Theres no air conditioning but fans were provided.

Rustic character right across from the lake. There’s a rocky entry to the lake and a boat dock as well as a way to rent paddle boards. The view is stunning.

We booked two rooms. For 1 bedroom, we had to share the bathroom with two other families. That was a bad point.

The location was good, and the view of the lake was amazing. Breakfast was average. They didn't have a toaster. For a 2 star hotel it was brilliant.

Dated and slippery shower area.

The facility itself was just slightly above average, but the view of the lake and surrounding Mountains was spectacular. The breakfast area overlook the lake. Superior cappuccino. Easy check in. Strict about the check in check out times. Free parking. As an aside, Binos Pizzaria in Brienze had one of the best margarita pizza we ever ate…..will think of it for a long time. I would stay there again.

The electric heater didn't work to regulate the temperature, so the room was a bit cold. Also the train track is literally right next to the hotel, so you will hear the train noise very well! The price might be cheaper.

The staff is very friendly. The location is just superb if you have the view to the lake. Breakfast is very good with fresh fruit and the staff prepares it for you so that it's warm. Having breakfast with the lake view was incredible.

The nearest public transportation (bus) stop is 1.5 kilometers from the hotel (about 25 minutes walk).

The view of Brienz lake from the restaurant terras is wonderful.

The hotel should have told us about the big recent Brienz landslide and the highway closures. We had to walk in the dark 1.5 km on a busy road with no shoulders to get to the hotel from the nearest bus stop since the railway was disrupted, and it was quite dangerous. It will be fine when the construction is over, but until then is a bit isolated from the rest of Brienz.

The housekeeper mistakenly locked our door and we unfortunately came after midnight so our key plate couldn’t work. A real nightmare but eventually got manager to send someone yo open. She was very apologetic and even offered an extra night for free. We had to leave but that was a very nice gesture
