Amazing spa, attentive staff, great breakfast

The beds were a little worn out. No alternative milk at breakfast (e.g. soy, oat, almond). Smokers on the outdoor terrace restaurant and under us meant we often had to smell smoke (having the balcony door open).

Balcony overlooking the glaciers. Small fridge and kitchenette. Owner very welcoming and helpful and offers bus collection and drop off.

The mattress was a little too soft. A coffee maker would have been nice. The breakfast became a little stale after eating the same small offerings for a few days.

This is the second time we stayed at this lovely hotel - a full week this time. It is just a very friendly place, at a beautiful location with its own little lake and a view of the snow capped mountains. There is a nice restaurant on the bottom floor with the same name but different ownership. Our room had a little kitchen area with a fridge, but nothing else. Plenty of parking.

Hotel Zum See was a port in a storm. When the road and train to Zermatt were shut down due t s landslide. A bit of a drive up the mountain in the dark, and a late arrival, but welcomed by warm and friendly staff. The breakfast the next morning was excellent typically breakfast.

A steep ascent on the way back from the village. It is, however, manageable with breaks :)

The room was too hot when we entered. A bit pricy but still the best deal in the region.

The location is awesome, decoration and lasers were good, nice little bar/restaurant, cool lake. They offered to pick us up from the train station but we did the walk because it's so nice.

The prices at the restaurant were outrageously high. EUR 47 for a flat, dry wiener schnitzel with fries and a couple of boiled carrots, no sauce, and no anchovies. It's really a rip-off and completely insane. They exploit the fact that the hotel and restaurant are far from everything, so people have no other options. The breakfast wasn't the most exciting.

A cozy small hotel of older vintage with a wonderful location. It was a bit on the expensive side for us, but I guess that might be the price range in Switzerland.

I had to wait long time after having called the reception and got in doubt. I didn't know if they had heard the clock.

Fine breakfast. A little awkward to open the plastic boxes to get food. The soft drink at the lake in the afternoon was nice, because of the lake nearby. And the weather!

The beds/mattress could be more comfortable. Rooms are quite rustic but very functional.

Nice staff, very warm and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful location and convenient for access to the slopes, or snow walking. The dinner option with half board is really good value (4 courses for 25chf per person), and excellent home-cooked quality. Free parking is a bonus.

Would have been nice to have coffee and tea provided in the room. Kitchen is way basic not even a kettle. I believe a bathrobe was to be provided but it wasn’t. Location is good but if you want to walk into town you need to climb up the hill. I wasn’t advised that someone can pick me up from the bus and climbed up with luggage.

Breakfast was fine but it’s the same every day. Would have been nice to have some variety and eggs.

It was not easy to get to, winding mountain roads, but the location is beautiful and the accommodations are over the top charming.

We paid to have air conditioning and the hotel does not have ‘air conditioning’ in the sense a person from the USA is used too. The temperature is regulated by the hotel which is not what I was expecting. Very disappointed. When the issue was addressed with staff they apologized and gave us a fan.
