Unfortunately, probably due to the fact that Arica has one of the most busy harbors in Chile, the sea is not very clean. The sea brings a lot of foam to the hotel beach that stays on the beach and on top of the water. The bathroom were clean but the shower could need a door so that the bathroom doesn't get flooded with every shower.

The view was absolutely amazing. The hotel is located directly at the beach so you can hear the waves even though the closed balcony door. All rooms feature a balcony with a wonderful view. The quality of the food served in the restaurant was exceeding our expectations. It was excellent. Breakfast is as well very good with fresh fruit, egg, toast, fresh warm bread and yogurt. All you need for a good start into a new day. The staff was lovely and very helpful.

The location is fantastic, the hotel is a well designed wooden structure by the sea, the rooms have varandas actually hanging on the beach, one can actually see through the window nestlings on the rock! Breakfast was fantastic!

This is a friendly, relaxed and clean hotel. The breakfast is well thought out and nicely presented. We had dinner one night and the food and presentation were both excellent. Our compliments to the chef. The view from the hotel rooms is stunning.

We loved the hotel so much we returned for 2 more nights later that week. The staff, especially Franco, were so helpful not only with the hotel but with taxis to and from the airport and suggestions for activities in the area. We also recommend the breakfast but in particular the delicious dinners served at the wonderful patio right on the ocean. The rooms are comfortable and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves.

We liked everything

The outstanding location. Right on the beach and can hear the pacific from your bed (and all the gulls!). Easy to walk into town. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfasts superb.

This isn't a criticism, but people should be aware that the hotel is a couple of kilometers from town

Room with a view, great shower (makes it hard to conserve water), nice breakfast. We ate here one night for dinner. The food was tasty and prices were okay given view dining. Drinks were expensive.

EVERYTHING!!! We’ve been backpacking for a while now and this was a treat in the middle, I just loved the comfy bed, warm rooms, incredible views, great food plus free water, tea and coffee all day was great. I truly loved my stay here.

This hotel was rustic but had a beautiful location right on the beach. We spent many hours watching the waves crash on the rocks. The restaurant food was exceptional. Beds were comfy. The wifi was average but good enough. Shower was hot. Plenty of parking.

I would have liked a small refrigerator in the room to keep some snacks and drinks cool. As well as some chairs on the balcony, we not had to move the chairs from inside to our. Not a big deal though.

Nothing! Everything was superb!

The location was outstanding. The staff was amazing and the most friendly, knowledgeable and helpful you could imagine. Special recognition needs to be given to Franco who always went the extra mile to accommodate our every need and interest. The beds were very comfortable the breakfasts were tasty and abundant, and the mini Galapagos we woke up to every morning was a immense plus for our 8 day trip to Arica and the Atacama desert of northern Chile. A variety of wildlife thrives right off the balconies of each room and includes colorful birds, starfish, crabs and fish. We highly recommend this property to nature lovers and adventure lovers alike. The hotel is sustainable and a very unique design that blends in well with the surroundings and keeps the rooms comfortable without any air conditioning whatsoever. You can’t go wrong with Hotel Apacheta! Enjoy your stay!

The rooms are a bit chilly since it’s not heated in the winter. But you adapt

Can’t beat the location. Arriving after midnight hearing the waves crash on the beach about 50 m from my room was totally awesome. Tasty breakfast every morning just the right amount of food. Excellent restaurant if you want to eat in the hotel in the evening and the staff was very accommodating.

Wifi cut in and out to often

Fantastic view of ocean from all places on property . The simplicity and rustic setting . It was not crowded and very tranquil. Felt like you had your space although you were not alone . Bathroom facilities all worked well .

First night diner was lovely, second night the opposite: the fish was not well done and made me nauseaous. The wait staf didn't take it very serious was my impression. I asume this was an exeption, thats why my overal review is stil positive.

Everything was just perfect. The hotel has a warm and specific style, and the sea just in front was tremendous. We loved it.
