How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI loved the accommodation, and I absolutely loved bed the room and the area. The room I had was situated on the 8th floor, very good size and it was literally opposite the famous sculpture on the sea front. Forgive me I forgot the name of it. But it was beautiful. Very safe area as well and it's close to the bus station, sea front and beaches and shops. They do have an option of a breakfast but because it came with a kitchenette, I didn't take my option of the breakfast. Also they clean the room everyday which is nice.
Because they have two receptions. The first one is on the entrance, they will usually greet you and yell you to go to the 7th floor which is the main reception, which is fine. As in the UK in ibis hotels and some, they don't have a reception at the bottom. They just twl you to go to the higher floors reception, so I really liked that they had somebody to greet you. However, be warned they sometimes close that first receptions doors with l A black gate. So if you are going to be leaving early or arriving late, it's best to let them know in advance. As the second reception which is the main reception I think is 24/7, however. I did almost get locked in/out a couple times when I noticed the door was locked. But they were okay as they where there and let me in/out. It's a brilliant place to stay and highly recommend it.

There was not much running water to take a shower in the evening. It improved in the morning.

Verified reviewReally nice room. Bigger than we expected. Comfortable bed and sofa. Nice sea view. Hot shower. Kitchen was tiny and had basic equipment but enough that we could have cooked a meal if we had wished to do so. Secure underground parking for our motorbikes. Breakfast was brought to the room. The lady on reception was super helpful on our last day as we had the overnight ferry. She let us keep our motorcycles and gear at the property until early evening. That was very much appreciated.
The WiFi was terrible. It dropped out completely and didn’t reach the room. We had important stuff to do for our trip and had to sit down in the corridor by the router in order to do it. A great shame because it was otherwise a fantastic hotel.

Verified reviewThe bed was put in an alcove and it was hard for me to get out of bed without hitting my head.
The discomfort of the furniture/bed. It felt like an old hotel that needed an upgrade. Plus, the older woman who worked the night shift at the reception desk was really unfriendly. All the other staff were great.

Verified reviewThe staff were helpful and kind. Location was pretty good, 30min from airport. Lots of local restaurants and walking areas. But really not much else to do here.

Verified reviewEcvellent location convenient for the city centre and promenade. It has modern, well decorated and very clean apartments.
The WiFi was a bit slow but then I am Irish and we have the very best superfast WiFi so every other WiFi seems slow. I also felt the crockery was very limited as I was trying to make overnight oats and quite honestly the cups and bowls were pretty sad. There was no coffee machine which is unusual at this price point although we have taken no chances and have a travel Aeropress.

Verified reviewThis apart hotel was a nice surprise. The best location in Puerto Montt, close to 3 or 4 good restaurants, close to the statues and close to the costanera. The room was huge for a couple with a beauiful view on the Ocean. Everything was clean and cozy. There is a kitchen and even a closet. The building itself looks a bit art decó, but not sure. In fact, an old, beautiful building in the heart of the city. I recommend it!
You have to be very careful and attentive to find the entrance for the parking lot, but nothing terrible. The door handle had a small problem opening. Toilet flush was not working 100%.

Verified reviewWell located by the waterfront and a short walk to restaurants and bars. Secure basement parking is available. Wifi worked well, and there were seasonal decorations up which looked great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed at the weekend and a nearby nightclub didn't turn off the music until 5am. Not the fault of this hotel, but worth noting if you're a light sleeper.

The interier has probably seen better days, everything (wardrobes, chairs, windows...) Is a bit wobbly.

Verified reviewJust what you need for a night in puerto montt. very spacious rooms at a very decent price. the staff is very kind and helpful.
It is a good price but it feels like it needs a facelift. Corridors and rooms feel a little dingy; our room was a little musty; the upholstered furniture could use either a deep cleaning or a deposit; and the mattresses should be encased. Nothing felt “dirty” and the housekeeping staff works hard, but things just felt old and well-used.
