There is a need of updating on some areas. Overall some aspects adds to he charm of the building but there needs to be some careful renovations in some areas.

The location is fantastic, this combined with the wonderful staff and the charm of the property made for a great stay.

My room was in the roof space: The Jane Austen Room!!!! The stairs to it were tight and difficult, the room was awkward and unattractive. Bare floorboards (no rugs) and decrepit furniture. No wardrobe, just a hat and coat stand with a single plastic hanger! Comfortable bed and plenty of hot water and seemingly clean, but everything cheap, tired and desperately needing a make-over. In a word; shabby.

The location was very good. The hotel was characterful with a charming restaurant and terrace. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent. Splendid view from my room.

really loud at night, it's right above the city center. the room wasn't dirty but it had this old house smell and a lot of dust in the air. also most of the bars and restaurants within walking distance were closed super early so that's something to consider

At first it was a bit confusing needing to be buzzed in to the patio in the morning and I didn’t realize staff are off on Tuesdays. That was the only glitch.

Breakfast was substantial and had a good variety of food. I loved the patio and the view - they always played great music including an awesome DJ one night. The hotel is in a great location near many restaurants and cafe. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It’s no fault of the property but it is situated above the main square of the town that is noisy for most of the night. Earplugs are definitely needed.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with period decor and furnishings. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very nice at breakfast and dinner.

Wonderful view. An older property but just quirky enough to be a great experience. Great bar/restaurant with wonderful patio. Super staff serving a great breakfast and four friendly dogs. Just super experience in a most interesting part of Valparaiso. I would gladly go back.

It’s fairly noisy at night from the street revelry and howling stray cats, but that reflects the excellent location. Breakfast room has a lot of character, but is a bit dark. We had the attic room and it was a very tight squeeze, especially for my tall husband!

As it’s a old house, some things need to be renewed. As the hotel is on top of a hill, you could hear all the noise of the city. It was difficult to fall asleep some nights due to very loud music.

The location of the hotel was very nice! My room had a balcony with a great view over Valparaíso! The house has a lot of Charme and the staff was very friendly and supportive.
