Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Costa RicaMy only complaints are that blackout curtains would be a great addition, the cleaning could be more thorough, and the water takes a long time to heat up, which can lead to unnecessary waste while waiting for it to reach a comfortable temperature.
Great location, friendly staff, and the building has a charming, cozy vibe despite being older. The price is fair for what’s offered.

United Statesthere was no one at the front desk for questions the entire stay.
the taxi driver that works for the hotel (Fabian) was wonderful! he picked us up from the airport and did our check-in since our flight arrived around midnight and the desk was closed for check-in. Great conversation, he offered himself for taxi-omg during our whole stay if we needed him. super flexible with our pick up time.

United StatesNo one was on duty at the reception desk. When I first arrived (early afternoon), I had a wait of 20 minutes while ringing the buzzer and calling the hotel's phone number to get someone to let me in the front door. To settle my bill, I had a wait of 10 minutes after sending a WhatsApp message to someone who arrived from off premises. Also, no one was on duty during the breakfast period. I had to find things in a refrigerator, locate the drawer with tableware, and figure out how to use the kettle to boil water for tea.
I liked the friendliness of the staff with whom I briefly interacted, the location, and the price.

It was clean, nicely located and the owner picked up as from the terminal. We also received a very nice breakfast box because we couldn’t stay for breakfast. If only all places were like this :)

AustraliaNoisy noisy noisy- with no consideration of non- tour patrons This is the worst place we’ve stayed so far in six weeks in South America. And that includes jungle lodges in the Amazon, home stay in Lake Titicaca and tents on the Inca trail. The hotel at first glance is an early 20 th century house converted to accommodation- looks quaint. By the very nature of the building it is ill suited for a traveller who want quiet peaceful evenings of sleep. Must also consider that with only five hours of true night- sleep in a poorly curtained room is important. The problem is there is no sound insulation at all. If only most guests (during our stay- might have been a one off, but certainly ruined our stay) didn’t arrive at 10.30 pm each night!!! We could have coped with the street noise, heating and plumbing noise and the squeaking floorboards- that would put Japanese Nightingale floorboards to shame. Both nights at 10 pm ish a bus load of other guests arrived. The arriving guests were oblivious to the fact that the “quaint” squeaky floorboards sounds horrendously loud- with rolling cases and hard boots. There was absolutely no soundproofing between each room and hallway- who arrives at 11 pm and turns on a tv???? had to go down to reception then hallway to ask the arriving guests to be quiet.Didn’t stop loud hallway length conversations at 2320 hrs…. There is no curtaining on the transom window above hallway door meaning we were bathed in the hallway conversations and light until it was finally turned off for the morning at 0022 hrs. The previous posted rave reviews are probably written by people who only stay for the overnight 9 hour stay, not the multi day guests who have a 0600 start and an 11 hour bus journey the next day. Breakfast was at best average. Their plumbing is the noisiest with the heaters clicking and creaking all night , and everyone knows when any toilet is flushed.
Good location- city centric

NetherlandsIt is very outdated with locks that keep nobody out. The safe was loose -you can just carry it with you. TV réception just snow. Shower old but worked in the end.
Location was close to city center and 10 minute walk from Bus station but so are almost all locations. Kind lady who made fresh scrambled eggs

ChileBooked a couple months in advance, on the day of the check in they told me they didn’t have my room and tried to send me to a hostal. Didn’t look good, even claimed that I was getting a “discount” but in reality it was just a lower category of a stay. I work in hospitality too. The golden rule of a booking is that you agree to a vendors terms expecting that it will be that way when the date comes. If the vendor can’t meet their end of the deal, you put people in a nicer place and just accept that extra cost. Had to pay a lot more for another random place and figure this all out on my phone in the airport.
