Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRooms although very comfortable are now slightly tired as are the spa facilities.
A brilliant location in the middle of the wonderful Torres del Paine. Informal and relaxed with exceptional staff looking after us

United KingdomOnly a very minor point - the excursion booking process could be made clear at check-in (I.e. in written info provided in rooms), as there was info regarding almost every other aspect except this. Guests let each other know timings and process in absence of formal confirmation.
Fabulous location; incredible staff; wonderful and knowledgeable guides; comfortable lodgings.

BrazilThey should sincronize the transfers to airports with the main flights. Doesn’t make sense to have fixed slots like today.
The explorations are really well organized, the location is amazing.

United StatesIt is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The service ispe impeccable. . The host and the guide are friendly and knowledgeable, also including good food, good views, and good itineraries. Basically, it's everything you need during the low season. We are thankful for everything that we experienced here.

United StatesOne of the guides who was responsible for helping select excursions treated me with less respect than he should have. Before I arrived at Explora, I fell hiking in El Chalten and had a bruised knee with one stitch. When trying to arrange a hike, I explained this to him and also that I am a very fit, athletic 62 year old who came to Explora specifically to hike. I also told him that the doctor who x-rayed my knee said I hadn't broken anything and that I could hike after 48 hours. It was now day 5 since the fall. This information seemed to not matter to this staff member; he tried to dissuade me many times from doing a five hour hike even though I repeatedly told him I was trained and could do it. I felt like he had a predisposed notion that a 62 year old women was not capable of determining on her own what she was capable or not of doing. This was demeaning and insulting. From what I gathered listening to some other guests our age, this seemed to be a pattern. Well, some of us in our sixties are more fit than others half our age! Needless to say, I completed that hike on time! Secondly, our bathroom had some issues; the toilet seat cover fell off a couple of times and the flushing button would get stuck in the flushing mode easily and finally broke . Also, there are two windows in the bathroom to the sleeping area with blinds that you can close but still, at night when my husband turned on the bathroom light, the light would wake me up. We couldn't understand the purpose of these two windows. One of these windows was where typically there should be a mirror over the vanity.. There was only a small-ish makeup mirror on the side wall. Lastly, the meals at Explora could be improved upon. They ranged from tasty to quite bland. The lunch and dinner restaurant portions were quite small, also.
The view of the horns from our room was heavenly. The sleeping area of our room was beautiful, our bed huge and sooooo comfortable, and the pillows divine. We loved the excursions and activities. Staff was so very friendly and warm! We felt like family. The hotel was bright, with large windows showcasing the Horns of Torres del Paine. The gathering spaces were so beautiful and comfortable. Marisol, the guest experience manager, was on top of everything; very efficient, welcoming, kind and professional. Catherine, Benjamin, Xavier, Daniella, are just a few of the incredible restaurant staff who worked so hard to make us happy. Papo, Naz, Francesca, Florencia, Ignacio, Kata, and Raul (to name a few) were excellent guides. I will miss them all.

United StatesThe food was very healthy and plain. No other options. Healthy is great, but every once in awhile on vacation you want to eat some unhealthy dishes! Also the same buffet for breakfast every day. Maybe change a few things each day. Like instead of bacon everyday maybe sausage one time. Eggs everyday, maybe pancakes? Just a suggestion. Also the internet down and no way to communicate with family back home. But once you leave the property you have internet, texting and signal? Not sure if it's blocked but no texting, calling or anything available. There was a phone in room for a charge. Just something to work on maybe. Just small suggestions but overall it was so amazing!
The staff from our pick up in Punta Arenas to the staff at hotel were amazing! Literally everyone goes out of their way and very helpful! They go out of their way to make tours available for you which was amazing. The housekeeping was like so amazing. All the bartenders, guides, drivers, restaurant staff and jacuzzi staff was so amazing! Everything was very organized as well! You didn't have to think or worry about anything once there! Thank you!

United KingdomThe bathrooms are small and poorly designed. Not everyone needs a window opposite the toilet seat so that one's roommate can share the toilet experience with you. If you want to rest in the bath you can't reach the toiletries. The guide on our esteppe overland tour, spent the entire time chatting in Spanish with the driver and failed to point out any wild life. To make matters worse, even though a Puma was spotted in the vicinity she wouldn't allow us to stop and get a chance to see the animal, although she got out and said she could see an ear. The timings are highly curated with no deviation in the event of something exciting being spotted. The wine served with dinner wasn't great and the extra special wine list was mostly sold out. The breakfast buffet could take so long to replenish that those heading out to catch up early with the curated tours didn't get what they needed for breakfast. I waited 15 mins for yogurt which never came.
The hotel is in a truly unique and beautiful location, but its resting on its laurels and offers poor value for money. The rooms are comfortable with nice views. The staff are young and enthusiastic and eager to please, but they fail on delivery . The food was mostly tasty and well prepared and interesting, even though the service was very slow. The guides get 3 months training but this doesn't turn them into naturalists. Most, but not all, are willing to share their enthusiasm. The transfer to and from the airport was very well organized and very comfortable and included a delicious lunch in a local restaurant en route. We were very grateful to not be kept waiting for the bus on arrival.

BrazilFood was bad; sometimes limited and bad. Waiters were totally lost. really desorganized. No time to eat breakfast befor4e activities Guides were not prepared, would take selfies [clearly guys were new to the place]. The room was too hot even after we asked to cool it diwn. The amenities in the bathroom [shampoo/ liquid soap] smelled odd. We were told that it was the "plant"smell. Only that the same liquid soap at the sink had a different and pleaseant smell. We couldnt communicate properly with the staff and only a few of them speak poor english.
The location, exclusively.
