Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The host was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious with a nice view of the city. Everything was clean. We were able to do laundry, which was a bonus.

The common kitchen could be a little bit cleaner and the hostel structure needs some renovations.
Big room. They gave us soap and towels. Temperature of room and water in the shower nicely hot. They prepared the breakfast in advance for us since we had the bus early. Super cheap price

Walls are very thin, dripping noise during the night (not a problems for me, but could be a problem for someone with a light sleep), doors are a little tricky to open, shower pressure and temperature a little unstable
Very comfortable room considering the building seems quite old, staff very friendly and helpful, easy to organise early breakfast, place was always clean.

This is definitely the best place we stayed in during our trip to Chile. The host is super friendly. Speaks really good English. Free laundry service, great breakfast, airport shuttle for a very decent price. Highly recommended!

They had a shuttle service to pick me up at the airport. Great breakfast and the accommodated by providing breakfast earlier then the regular time so I could go on day trips. Suggest a travel agent to set up day trips. I was able to have an ares yo make and eat dinner when I arrived back late.

The hostel is a bit noisy. You may hear your neighbours on the floor and in other rooms.
Nice and simple hostel near the city center. The staff is absolutely great, very supportive and do the very best to give you a perfect experience.

There is nothing not to like. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. A great value!
Very friendly staff. Went the extra KM to make us comfortable with our baby. Very convenient to Bus Sur and to downtown. We had to leave early the next morning and they put breakfast out for us!

Very friendly and approachable host! Room was clean and spacious, and the hostel has great location- a few minutes walk to the coast, bus station and viewpoint.

This hotel was good for our one night stopover and the staff were fabulous . The only downside was the bathroom was in need of a paint and looked quite tatty but it was functional. There was also traffic noise in the ground floor double room with bathroom. It suited us for a one night stop over.
We arrived late and left the room at check out time so it was a short visit. The staff were super helpful and nice and looked after our luggage until approx 20.30 as we went on the afternoon penguin trip.Breakfast was nice.The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of hot water and radiators for heating.The hotel is well placed for walking to the meeting point for the penguin excursion and the 'Bus Sur' terminus for Puerto Natales. It took us about 15 minutes. We found several restaurants a couple of blocks away.

The facilities, the staff is just amazing and helpful. Great breakfast. It is possible to cook your meals and do your laundry there. Gustavo is a wonderful human being.
