Beautiful wooden and antique mansion. Well-maintained with friendly and supportive staff. Great breakfast and amenities. Well situated near the Center and coastline of Llanquihue. Easy to get to Frutillar or Puerto Varas by Uber or local bus (approx 20/15 mins).

Great example of the old houses here by the lake, very clean and comfortable and nice shared living space to relax in. The bed and bathroom were clean and large. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing, fresh eggs jams and products - we loved the cake! The town is a good base for exploring the lake but if you want more shops and restaurants the next town would have more to offer but you can drive there easily. All the staff were friendly and shared great tips.

Really liked the place. Staff great. My room was quite small (Vs what I was expecting having seen the photos - but fine). The one thing which wasn't great was the hot tub was extra to pay for, when booking it, I didn't see this clearly laid.

11km from Puerto Varas center

A beautiful old house in the suburbs of Puerto Varas. Delicious breakfast and the staff very friendly. The bed was also very comfortable.

No washcloths in the bathroom (maybe using washcloths is not a Chilean custom). Unfortunately, we never got to use any of the hot tubs, they were already reserved by the time we asked. Make your reservations in the morning if you want to use them.

The lagoon that the hotel is situated by is just outside past the Hotel’s gardens—and there is a very small island with dead trees that many cormorants and white birds (egrets??) were perched on in our direct line of sight. Very cool to watch! The included breakfasts were made with very fresh ingredients, really enjoyed. The dining room is charming. We slept well, the beds were very comfortable.

The hotel on its own is astonishing. It’s very romantic and beautiful. The crew is very kind, the dishes were delicious. Rooms were very clean and well isolated as for such an old house. A gem in this region you truly want to spend your time.

Language was a bit of a barrier as they advertise that they speak English but we still struggled to make ourselves understood

Bathroom layout rather strange but probably due to constraints of roof space. Location (town itself) had little going for it but it was only a short drive to Puerto Varas.

Interesting architecture and quite quirky rooms. Stayed on top floor with lots of character and beams. Nice spacious room.

I had a wonderful 3 days at Casa Werner. I fully recommend it. A short walk to the Llanquihue lake, a few minutes Uber to Puerto Varas where most of the tours depart. I had 2 wonderful dinners cooked by the lovely Yvonne and one hot tub session listening to the birds and taking photos! Brilliant. I met the owner and his son who were charming and taught me lots about the area and Chile. Couldn't fault anything.

Village hasn’t much to offer

Cosy hotel with really comfortable beds! We felt very welcome. Staff did their best to give us a good time. Breakfast nice with local products. Private parking.

This place is an absolute gem from the quality of the staff, adherence to the historical character of the building and the finishes and traditional touches throughout. A special shout out to the amazing and always smiling staff, in particular Ivonne and front desk personnel. The breakfast and all meals were fantastic. Best place we stayed in all of Chile to date. If you have the opportunity to be in this area, be sure to choose Casa Werner.

There was no hot water when we arrived. It took a few discussions until the receptionist agreed. After the water pump was fixed, the water pressure remained low. Location of the hotel is not great.

The house is beautifully decorated with antiques, keeping the original feeling. The bed was very comfortable, parking next to the hotel, breakfast was great. Views were very nice, and the hotel room size was great!
