If there is little snow in the region it is not ski in and out so that is a little misleading. You are not in a resort.

It is community location where people of all interests can enjoy the beautiful scenery and activities. The staff are helpful and make you feel like you are one of the family.

The owners are so lovely and very very helpful. Due to us not speaking Spanish they did everything they could to assist us and we communicated through translate apps. They offer transport to and from the mountain when they snow doesn’t reach the ‘ski out’ portion of the stay which is wonderful! The view is incredible, the hostel is cozy and warm, the others staying are friendly, the vibes are great! :)

The location is perfect for those who are going to snowboarding or skiing in El Colorado – ski-in/ski-out. For those who are going to ski in Valle Nevado, it’s possible to get on the road by skiing through Farellones, and get a hitch hike from there.

Everything, including food, drinks, and water, is very expensive around the hostel.

The hostel's staff (Pablo), provided everything we needed to have a great experience as first-time snowboarders. The location of the hostel is also awesome and beautiful. It’s a great place to meet new people.

Despite a city wide power outage while I was staying there I am still giving it a 10/10. The staff are amazing and made up for the situation which their friendliness and communication. Not to mention getting the backup generator up and running! Met some great people and had a great time. Some things to note: - do bring groceries with you. A driver brings some fresh fruit and veg sometimes but it’s very limited - if you’re planning on skiing El Colorado it’s essentially ski in ski out but for La Parva and Valle Nevada you really do need a car. They don’t link up very well by snow since some of the linking lifts can be closed and there isn’t much transportation between them - a decent level of Spanish is helpful

Short walk to the bus stop is tiring with ski kit.

The staff were so helpful with sorting ski kit rental out for us and gave us lots of information about getting the shuttle bus to El Colorado. Comfy beds and hot water in showers. Cheap for the area

It was kind of hard to find, and I was a bit surprised by how difficult it was to navigate to and from using just English.

I really quite liked my stay here! The staff, especially Carolina were excellent! The showers and bathrooms were plentiful and nice, the rooms were larger than expected and it was super great meeting everyone else. I would definitely come back if I’m headed back to the area!

I can't thank Caro enough for such a nice stay. I was only supposed to be staying one night on route to Cerro el plomo but unfortunately I fell sick the morning after my arrival. I stayed an extra night until I felt a little better and with Caro's support I got my strength back and was able to carry on with my trip! All in all a Cordillera is a wonderful place with wonderful people. Super comfy room, the view from the common area is stunning, great cooking facilities, nice clean bathrooms. I can't recommend enough!

The power went out for 3 nights in the winter. They need better generators. It's an old building and needs to be updated. There is also a sewer smell in the basement rooms. The toilet by the stairs is loose.

There was no power for our stay. There was no hot water and the rooms were cold. There was a fire but it was poorly lit with lighter fluid and emitted a lot of smoke. Hard to locate. No street number displayed. Name of hostel not displayed.

The sign in the room said there was a breakfast schedule but then they told us there was no breakfast, we had to go out to look for breakfast and there is nothing nearby. The location is difficult to find. There are no signs to direct to the hotel and the building itself has no sing to know you have arrived at the right place. Not really ski-in, ski-out, but furthermore the run that it is supposed to be on is one of the first to not have snow toward the end of the season, so it was closed. Thought I was getting a ski-in, ski-out, closest place to get to skiing was over a kilometer away! Way too expensive for what it was.

Bed was comfortable.

The staff at Cordillera Hostel are friendly and helpful. The location has exceptional mountain views and is very comfortable. Cordillera is affordable, has a full kitchen for use and a very nice fireplace. Access to all three ski areas is right outside the front door. I highly recommend staying here.
