Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandOverall, we had a nice stay at Lodge Altitud. It’s a budget-friendly option with great perks like a shared kitchen and fridge, which was super convenient. The atmosphere is peaceful, and although it’s about a 15-minute walk from the center, the distance means it’s very quiet and relaxing. A special shoutout to Benito, who works on site, he was extremely kind and helpful! He even drove us into town so we could find a stargazing tour. That kind of hospitality really makes a difference. The Wi-Fi worked fine in the room, which was a nice surprise. Nothing fancy, but for the price, the service and calm setting make it a great place to stay in San Pedro.

United StatesWonderful host and staff! A good value with comfortable, clean rooms and hot showers. The hotel is in a safe quiet area with beautiful views of the Volcano in the distance and dark night sky. The location might be a tad bit far for walking from the center (15min) while the road across the canal is being remade. HOWEVER, Alvaro (the owner) and Benito the site manager are wonderful and kindly dropped us and picked us up from the center to mitigate that temporary situation. They also have recommended taxi drivers who can pick you up and bring you anywhere.

United KingdomGreat little place, though slightly out of town I think is well worth the money. Thank you 😊
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. I had a double bed and slept very well. The bathroom facilities were all fine and as advertised. It was also really nice to chill around the pool. It is a 15 minute walk from the main street, but I didn't mind this at all. The main bonus for me by far was how incredibly helpful the host was. I left something very sentimental to me in the room. I messaged and that same day, they had dropped the item at the agency I needed in the town. I cannot thank them enough for this, and they asked nothing of me in return.

United KingdomThe property was beautiful! Such a nice pool and kitchen area. Manager and were right hand man were lovely and helped us out a lot. Would 100% recommend. Only thing is it is slightly further from town but that is why there is so much space and such a nice garden.

BrazilWe were a little hot at night and there was no fan in the cabin, so this could be an improvement. Also, there were a lot of mosquitos but I know for a fact that they use insecticide everyday while we were out.
I stayed at the cabin with its own terrace during summer. We were 3 adults and 2 teens. We had our own kitchen and great fridge, so we could cook. Appreciate that they would clean everyday. The swming pool was very refreshing. The manager was always very helpful and always available. The place is really close to town, you can walk there, but in a very relaxing area. If you climb the small hill, you can walk until the Brazilian view point and will get a fantastic view of the town and Valle de Marte.

United KingdomLocation is inconvenient - tours and taxis were reluctant to come out that far and some outright refused. Did not take card payment for stay which was also inconvenient and required us to walk back from town (quite a way) with large amount of cash.

New ZealandWater pressure, hard to find things to use in the kitchen. A little far away. Woken up at 1am by someone trying to get into our room as they couldn’t find their own room…. So tired from not being able to get back to sleep - so maybe numbers on doors to stop this happening again…
The clay rooms. Let us stay after check out until our ride arrived to pick us up

United KingdomSlightly outside of town, we had bikes so popped back and forth, kitchen is very basic - drinking wine from mugs but doesn’t detract.
Relaxed hippy style lodge on the outskirts of atacama. Little kitchen with cool little dining and relaxing space- we actually ate in 3 of the 4 nights we stayed which was a nice break from eating out all the time. Staff super friendly and help you with lifts into town. Pool chilly but great for afternoon chill after bike riding! Amazing star sights from there!

United KingdomBiggest issue is location, it's quite far from the main street where most shops, restaurants and tour agencies are and a real slog from the bus station. Google maps is also incorrect, there is no bridge where it says there is so you have to double back on yourself to cross over a small wooden plank. It's also worth noting that it's a dirt road all the way from town in case you hire bikes so not the quickest to cycle either.
Bed is comfy, shower was good and the site is really cool. Free bike storage and car parking as well. Communal kitchen and bathroom both cleaned regularly.

United KingdomThe communal kitchen could use a good clean and possibly an upgrade and (understandably because they're all huts dotted around the grounds) the WiFi didn't work in our rooms which was a bit of bummer but other than that everything was great!
We loved the relaxed atmosphere and tranquillity of the property and our room was fantastic as was the pool and communal facilities. We loved chilling out by the pool during our stay here, after a hectic few days in Uyuni (Bolivia) and then our 4-hr wait at customs coming into Chile - this was the perfect place to unwind and we wish we'd booked longer!

United KingdomThe kitchen needs maintenance, and can use an electric kettle for morning coffee runs.
We stayed here for five days. The property is quite cozy. Rooms are separate from the main building, which gives the rooms quite from the noise of other people cooking and chatting. The staff had smiles on their faces.
