Staff was amazing and helpful. I felt welcomed and they were also patient in answering my questions. Great location as well.

The shower isn’t working properly. The water turns cold every 20 seconds. The air conditioner only works on “cooling” mode but not on “heating” mode. The toilet is also leaking so there is a constant sound of water dripping in the tank.

    Location and friendly staff.

Bathroom was not in good/working condition. Toilet did not flush properly. Asked for a different room, but that did not happened. Mold in and around shower, walls, corners and floor. Mold made room unsanitary and posed a health risk specially when you are traveling with a minor child. Beds are uncomfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was poor, deficient and low quality. Responsible individual/person in charge, has little to no customer service skills, was confrontational and unwilling to resolve the issues presented through staff, unless it was on his terms. Play the game long enough to avoid responsibility. I really don't care about the money waisted at this place. I care that other people will go through the same bad experience or worse.

The owner is nice person, everything feels like at home. He explains everything I need and suggested guide tour. There's also nice restaurant/bar inside the hotel(Kai)

WiFi inside rooms didn't worked, only on reception. It's a separate WiFi network, so shouldn't be that hard to fix.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to both the seafront and main shopping street. The staff were friendly and helpful, from organising tours of the island, to promptly moving me to a new room when a heavy storm caused a leak.

The internet only worked in the communal area, rather than the rooms.

Great location, beautiful garden, good breakfast spread, friendly staff, good air conditioning in room

Price I paid was not worth what I got, especially considering I paid extra for a better room. The room smelled of damp and was very humid, which I understand for an island, but should be cleared before a guest arrives. The smell had clearly been there for a while considering it was in the bed sheets and pillows. Bathroom facilities seemed very outdated and the tap wasn’t even secured properly. I wouldn’t normally mind, had I not been paying some ~£500 for a 3 night stay. Airport transfer failed to arrive even though I left a note with the booking with flight information.

Staff (especially Ben) were friendly and provided very helpful advice. Wifi didn’t work in the rooms (but this is common in many similar places where the rooms cover a large area) On the other hand there was a comfortable lounge where good internet connection was available, or sit just outside next to the hotel’s attractive tropical garden.

They served a very nice breakfast. Great way to start the day.

The lighting in the room was a bit dark, plus there were limited electrical plugs available.

    Good location and Polynesian vibe.

Very disappointing. Room was poorly maintained, almost unfinished. Electricals unreliable, no screens despite mosquito warnings. No contingency for "frequent" power outages - no generator, no torches, no pathway lighting. Of course, no internet, no hot water! Management staff rarely evident leaving our questions to kitchen staff.

Location is excellent, right in the town centre and within five minutes walk to shopping, dining and waterfront. Staff is friendly, breakfast closing time is 10:30am but at 10:00am still added food with us two would obviously be the last ones. Free transfer from and to airport is a plus as well. To be honest the facilities of the hotel is quite basic but remember it is Easter Island, not capital Santiago. My room has good functioned air conditioner, at least cool and quiet. Wi-fi connection everywhere including inside my room. The hotel even has a decent sized swimming pool with water presumably constantly filtered as I could see the water outlet like fish tank. Everything was beyond my expectations because I did not pay the price of a fiver star hotel.

The only thing not quite happy was I met another customer he showed me that his room price was 20% cheaper from Booking.com. Later he disclosed that he always travelled.

I loved how they transferred me to and from the airport and arranged the tours. I didn't need to rent a car at all. Plus very kind staff and owners. Such a cute property. I enjoyed my stay there very much. Easy to walk around the town from the hotel too. Great location.

I brought a group of scuba divers with me for my third trip to Rapa Nui and my third stay with Manavai. I wouldn't keep coming back to either if I didn't like them. Hotel has a great "local" feel to it and I mean that in a good way. Rooms are nothing fancy but quite comfortable. Breakfast each morning (included) was very nice. Good assortment of breads, juice, fruits, eggs-to-order, some meats, and other stuff. Easy walk into "town" as well as to the Tahai complex. Dive shop is just down the street so this is an excellent location for us.

Frankly, the hotel is a little tired. But, when you see past that, and appreciate the people, the location, the willingness to do anything you want, you will be smitten.

The facilities, bathrooms, lighting, are a bit old fashioned. But if you don’t expect 5 star luxury, this is a gold mine. Rapa Nui hospitality at its best. The staff can’t do enough for you.

Staff were brilliant, location was just right

Thought the room was overpriced considering the lack of amenities in the room, no Aircon but fan worked well, very disappointed at lack of storage facility for food/drink such as a fridge, room to hot to keep any food in

The staff were great as was the food. Pool and gardens were nice and very convenient location

Would have liked stronger shower pressure and ability to get hot water to make a cup of tea - even if in the dining area rather than room
