How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery nice hotel, very clean and well structured.
Breakfast leaves room for improvement. The hotel is located quite far from the city center and, with limited transport connections, having your own car is highly recommended.

Verified reviewThe staff was extraordinarily friendly! They went out of their way to help, offer suggestions, and just be great hotel staff! The property was also beautiful and so tranquil! Will definitely stay again!
The wifi was a bit lacking at times, but worked well in most parts of the property!

Far away from the city center. You definitely need a car. Our room had a problem with the heat and the hot water but they fixed it rapidly. Also they have breakfast time very late. It begins at 8am

Verified reviewWe loved the location of the hotel - returning from days adventuring or from busy town center to the quiet, lush paradise of the property made our stay so special. It just is grounding and gets you ready for the next big day. The staff also play such a huge role in the joy of the property. The team was so helpful in helping us build a plan around what we wanted to see and realistically what we could do with our time - they were always available and went above and beyond in helping us create a successful and memorable stay. Truly, I can't speak highly enough about the genuine kindness and grace of the staff at Naturalis. The rooms are beautiful - the property is pristine - the beds were SO comfy - the food was great - wifi was great Our stay was truly a 10 out of 10.
... there was nothing we didn't like.

Verified reviewEverything was awesome! Great surroundings outside the town. Lots of interesting common spaces for guests (fireplace, hammocks for star gazing, pool, garden). It's better if you have your own car, as there are no taxis. Delicious breakfast. We loved the service from Isaac who gave us great tips for sightseeing and made us feel very welcome.
Be careful on the way, Google maps sometimes leads you through the river, it can be muddy.

Verified reviewWe had a quiet room overlooking the courtyard, a very comfortable bed, and a spacious, well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast was great, with a large selection of local food. The staff were really helpful and kind throughout our stay.
Heating should have been turned on (though we did not ask for it specifically); mornings in mid-April were chill in the room.

Verified reviewSmall boutique style hotel with lovely rooms. Nicely decorated, spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Absolutely wonderful staff. Great breakfast with a lot of local produce. Plenty of drinking water and tea available. They offer shuttles to town on set times or have bikes to get there. Packed breakfast is available for early departures.
The glass door in the bathroom. The location is a bit outside town so you’ll need a car or the hotel can arrange a taxi.

Verified reviewFabulous place to stay with a sophisticated laid back feel. An unexpected treat. Staff very friendly. Room was great layout and with lovely private terrace. Very calm and peaceful.
Quite far out of town - 10mins drive from the centre. Can be challenging to locate and order a taxi from town unless you’re using the complimentary hotel shuttle bus (at set times). Didn’t realise before we arrived that there was no lunch or dinner service at the hotel though they have an arrangement with a town restaurant who deliver food. Our room overlooked the Moon Valley so was a shame the view was blocked by fencing.

Verified reviewOur stay in the hotel was just great! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very delicious with the local food and fruits! Amazing
Perhaps in terms of the location it’s a bit far from the city and without the car I think it would have been quite difficult. But we knew it, as we wanted to have calm and relaxing place :)

Verified reviewThe property was so peaceful, comfortable, clean. It IS off the beaten path but we appreciated the quiet, and we had a car to get into town when we wanted.
Because of the location, tour companies won’t pick up there for excursions so you will need a car to get into town (it’s a little far to walk if you have a 6 am pickup).

Verified reviewLiterally an oasis in the desert. Alex, Pablo and Izak are amazing and helped us organise all our travel. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Josefa who was helping temporarily was also lovely. The rooms are immaculate and breakfasts are delicious. The hotel is built using local materials and everything is tastefully designed and thought out to be fitting for the location.. The location is a little out of town but the hotel provides a free shuttle and bikes. It’s walkable and takes 45mins. If you hire a car it’s no problem but make sure Google maps doesn’t send you through the river!
Nothing!

Verified reviewTucked away in a slightly remote (yet quiet) corner of San Pedro lies this stylish and lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious, well-appointed and impeccably clean. Reception staff are lovely and, when asked, will provide you with all the necessary info. Breakfast is fresh and tasteful.
Uncomfortably warm rooms without aircon, though only a problem in January/February I guess. They did provide a (very noisy) fan but only found out on the third night unfortunately. Communal areas lacked some atmosphere (music, fire, candles at night e.g.) and are designed around the (less attractive) parking lot. We were hoping to spend more time there when we booked but often left for town as there are no real facilities (e.g. honesty bar). Wifi is spotty (at best) throughout the premises.

Verified reviewThe property was just outside of town and very peaceful and quiet. The rooms were comfortable. The staff, Pablo and Alex, were very personable and very helpful with advice on where to visit and places to dine. Breakfasts had lots of healthy options. Free still and sparkling water for your water bottles was available.
Slightly outside of town so you need a car or will need to rely on their shuttle service to get back and forth.
