How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewA very warm and friendly greeting by Olga who spoke good English started a very comfortable stay. I used this facility as a stopover between international flights and the property provide excellent facilities for self-catering including access to the kitchen and some basic food items which was ideal when arriving late and needed a late snack. Served my purposes ideally as a stopover spot to rest and relax before my next flights and relatively close to the airport. Highly recommended for a stop over between flights.
The local dog chorus (barking ) can get going at any time and although it did not worry me, if you were particularly sensitive to that type of noise, ear plugs would be useful. Not an issue at all but be aware that the property will try and contact you on WhatsApp before arrival so they can arrange to greet you on arrival. There are a couple of locked gates and doors to get through initially and it makes good sense to be greeted on arrival to allow the initial access.

Verified reviewThe owner is extremely friendly a helpful and she waited for me in front of the door at 11.30pm. I loved the hotel - the owner takes care of every detail. Everything is clean, well organized, great common spaces, nice rooms. Self served breakfast was one of the best during my stay in Chile. The price is very friendly. Location is fine, only 10 minutes by Uber from the airport. Really a great experience far above my expectation.
Everything was great, no ideas what could be better. :)

Verified reviewBreakfast was an amazing and delicious array of fruits as well as plenty of cereals, coffee and cheese, when I was there. I didn't notice much meat , like ham or salami though. The avocados were perfect and so many! They had nectarines which were perfect too and the most gelicious I have ever tasted! Breakfast is a real and healthy treat. The room I had was on the ground floor and I had to walk a little bit to the bathroom, which is halfway to the kitchen, but there was plenty of hot water and had sensible adjustable pressure. The owner was a very kind and helpful woman from Colombia.
The bed was nice and comfortable, but had a mattress that was a bit lumpy and out of shape. That I had to leave.

Had prob using uber 1am and was leaving 7am for airport. the lady let me wait over 1 hour for the shuttle to take me to her.... when she couldve orderded me an uber from her account that I pay in cash! It wasnt until I panicked about my return shuttle that she offered to do this... so why not do it when I arrived 1am??? Self serve bfast was rotting fruit and overly sugary drinks/yogurt. It was laughable. I ate none. Should have slept in the airport!
You were welcomed by the owner of the Hostel, who had great communication with you via WhatsApp. I received him at 1.45 in the morning, something I should be thankful for. you was welcomed with affection, you was given a brief tour of the house, you was given a beautiful and clean room. At Mi Hostel there is a large coffee station with plenty of self-service breakfast options, maybe in the midst of your worry you didn't see anything around you. The fruit in South America is fresh, ripe, NOT ROTTEN, NOT frozen as it arrives in the USA. YOU ARRIVED BY TRANSVIP AND ALREADY HAD YOUR PICKUP SCHEDULED WITH THEM, WHY DO YOU BLAME ME FOR THE MISTAKE THEY MADE ON YOUR PICKUP DATE? I TRIED TO CONTACT THEM TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR DILEMMA, IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT THEY DIDN'T RESPOND!! FINALLY TRANSVIP ARRIVED AT THE AGREED TIME!!! YOU LACK HUMILITY, YOU WERE ARROGANT WHEN YOU ARRIVED, ARROGANT WITH ME, IS THIS HOW YOU RESPOND TO SO MUCH HOSPITALITY??? GOD BLESS YOU 🙌

I have no comments to be honest. I just spent a night in this place and Olga and Willy, the owners, were fantastic hosts. They will make you feel at home.
