Spainwhen we got to the room it was a bit cold, but we turned on the heater and all was good.
the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They recommended places to eat and enjoy. The heated pool was amazing, very warm and nice. We spent a long time relaxing there. Breakfast had a lot of options, including eggs.

ChileThe property lacks maintenance. We arrived and the minibar in the room had a huge chunk of ice that didn't even let the door close. Floors have tiles missing, specially in the outdoor staits (big hazzard). Outdoor wood needa paint and roofs need maintenance (loose tiles). It is announced located within a vineyard but that is not the case (just an old vineyard building with a museum that was being remodeled and wasn't available to visit. Tempered pool only available during the winter although it was clean and within the spa area.

United StatesOur complaints were reasonable and serious, but the apparent "owner" who was around declined to attend us: the first night's experience clearly justified a refund. There were other guests who appeared to be ok with their stay, so maybe our standards are too high. But for sure this place wld have been expelled from any self-respecting US chain long ago.
We were well attended by phone and in person. Arriving late however we were given room 107 which was dirty and deteriorated. Difficult to believe this wld pass Howard Johnson standards. On complaint we were moved upstairs on second night which was much better. Overall this place lacks a huge amount of maintenance, from loose tiles on the roof to non-working lift. The floor and walls and doors in our first room had obviously not been wet-cleaned for a long time. Needs redecorating: also bedhead loose. Breakfast buffet however was good and well-attended by staff.

United StatesThe free breakfast could be better. We elected to pay and and eat at Juan y Medio an onsite restaurant owned by the hotel which had a better selection and much better coffee. Service at the restaurant was awesome. Thanks to the professor who was our waiter was excellent and took great care of us.
Nice clean and confrotable rooms. Great wifi signal. Staff was excellent and very accomadating. Special thanks to Angel, Santiago, Claudia and Javier at the bar was awesome. The housekeeping cleaning crew were also very friendly and did an amazing job tiding up the rooms.

ChileThe first room we got was not what we expected, the bed was untidy, it was a dark room and it needed renovation, it looked quite old; we asked for another room, so they gave us a new one which was much better. However the hotel needs renovation, it looks better on pictures than in real life, bathrooms are old, it didnt have hairdryer and no drinkable bottle water available in the room. Breakfast was fair, I would add more fruits.
Bed were confortable, staff was really nice.

ChileI didn't like the bathroom, as the shower was dark and the drain was clogged, forming a pond of cold water. The facilities were extremely disappointing. The swimming pool was available, but it was dirty. The heated pool had two large spiders floating about, which just killed it for me. The hot tub seemed like it hadn't been available for quite some years now. Lastly, the breakfast was ok, but on our third day, they ran out of fresh local bread and provided only packaged sandwich loaf bread. Overall, the place seemed abandoned to its faith, with facilities showing a lack of true and meaningful maintenance.
The location is the only good thing the hotel has. It provides a peaceful environment where all you hear are the birds chirping throughout the day along with a green scenery.
