How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Heating in the room: they switch it on at 19.30, which is too late as it gets cold around 18 pm. It was hot enough to sit next to the pool, but the water was too cold to enjoy it.

Not a hotel - rather a hostel (except for the price). Tiny rooms, 14 m2 including the bathroom. No double windows. Most rooms on a central yard with noise from neighbors, visitors, cleaning ladies. Poor breakfast with very poor service from 3 overbusy cooks who had no time to take order! Stating 24hrs coffee in the main eating room - but had constantly to ask for cups and/or plates as were only putting a few back each time...

Verified reviewWe stayed here several nights. It was very comfortable. They gave me an extra blanket when I was cold. They have usb ports, warm showers, filtered water and recycling bins for most items. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly. It is a great location to walk to town. We had a car and they have about 4 spots. We were the only ones most nights or there was just one other car.
Heat was only on certain hours.

Verified reviewThe hotel is perfect for shorter or longer stays in San Pedro. Roberto and the staff are welcoming, friendly, available, and take care of you in many small and big ways! The hotel offers free unlimited filtered water (which you will NEED in San Pedro, you will save a lot of money and plastic!), coffee and tea. They offer you small rags to clean your shoes from the dust, and even lend you towels for excursions (super useful for some excursions, so one can pack less!). They offer early breakfast to go for the days in which the excursions begin early, and they were super flexible with check out. I stayed at the hotel 3 hours past my check out time, they stored my luggage and I just worked and relaxed in the common areas. The rooms are small, but for me travelling solo that wasn’t a problem. And it’s compensated by the common spaces: the courtyard and pool area is perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast room great for working or spending time playing a board game. Breakfast was excellent and they accommodated my lactose intolerance. The ladies making breakfast are very sweet and always with a smile! Location is also perfect, right in the center of san Pedro, with tons of restaurants and shops within a few minutes walking. Everything was great and I am very glad I stayed there!

Verified reviewCentrally located- close to shops and restaurants. Very clean. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating, took really good care of us. I really appreciate that they are very eco-friendly as well.
The heater in the rooms were turned on only between 10 pm and 7 am. Struggled on our first night as it was really cold. Otherwise, all good the other nights.

Verified reviewThe staff were so lovely. I got a bad cold and they made a nice tea and had it in a thermal for me. The room was nice and clean with modern bathroom. The pool area was really nice and relaxing.
The heating is controlled by management and only comes on at certain times. If you want to chill in your room during the day it is FREEZING. Maybe allow individual room heating

Verified reviewThis is a great place to stay. The facilities are basic, but the buffet breakfasts were great. here is very limited parking, so I booked ahead and was accommodated without question. Other than breakfast there is no catering available, but the town has ample choice of restaurants.
Access is somewhat fiddly - having to enter via what looks like a back gat.
