The paths through the vineyards. The fire seating area.

Pool and tennis court not cleaned for use. Older rooms with way too many flies and dust. Staff lacked training or competence and seemed uncomfortable with their jobs however kind and well intended. Mediocre food and bizarre service.

Lovely Estancia style property with great approach through working vineyard. Very friendly and helpful restaurant staff. Lovely grounds.

To be honest we felt that rooms were dark and rather old fashioned. Felt in need of an update and perhaps more visible hotel management. Hosting was left to (very able and friendly) Macarena in the restaurant. Some touches that we’ve seen in other winery hotels would be nice.

Very nice property, huge winery, good food, good rooms and comfy beds. Not the newest, but all is clean and in good shape. Great general area’s in and outside. We loved it. Staff is lovely and takes the extra effort to fullfill your wishes. Great starting point for winery visits (and their own wines are also pretty decend.

We were late in the season, but would nevertheless expect the pool to be cleaned (though have to admit that watertemperature was on the fresh side for a swim).

What a gem. While a bit further from the heart of wine country, Vina La Playa makes the perfect home for a few days of wine tasting. Great staff, wonderful grounds (one of the few places where a nice quiet walk is just out the door), and welcoming rooms.

Just be prepared for a bit of a drive.

It was disappointing that very little English was spoken. There were no activities such as visit to the winery or tasting of the vineyard's products. we were very lucky to meet the owner who showed us round the vines and farm personally.

This place is stunning. The house is ridiculously beautiful and the overall vibe is of rest and relaxation. The kind of place you want to stay in for a while. We wish we could have booked more nights. The breakfast is good and the restaurant also.

We arrived in the afternoon, with only 45 mins before a tour we had booked. the tour was to last 1 hour and we thought we could still go to the pool after or go for a walk and see the property and the vineyards. That was not to be: the tour lasted 3 hours. Let me say that the tour guide was super fun and interesting, we completely enjoyed the visit to the vineyard, and learned a lot. However, when we came back it was already getting late and we had to rush from the tasting to the dinner since the kitchen was closing. And so, we finished dinner (my husband got served a different dessert that the one he had asked for, and the salad at the start came undressed, with dressings coming 15 mins after) and it was pretty late to see anything around the place so we just went to bed. The next day we had a very long drive ahead so we could not enjoy the property at all. Moreover, at check out they made us do a survey (non-anonymous) in which a welcome drink was mentioned: nobody gave us no welcome drink. And in our bill, a charge of 14 dollars for the "restaurant" was added that we did not remember to have made. We were however too tired to think about it until we were stuck in a side, unpaved road that google maps had send us to instead of a main road and set us back 45 mins. We would love to come back and stay longer, we felt really frustrated to have not really enjoyed it, and it is a very expensive hotel. Extra note: do not trust google maps navigation!

Quiet and atmospheric place with good food and, nice facilities and excellent hospitality.

Limited menu variations, however not really a limitation on short (1-2 day) stays.

SECLUDED, BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY HOME STYLED PROPERTY, IMMERSE IN A BEAUTIFUL VINEYARD, SURROUNDED BY AGED TREES THAT SWAY WITH THE WIND, AND A WATER FOUNTAIN IN THE FRONT PORCH/GARDEN THAT PROVIDES SOOTHING WATER SOUND. SUPER NICE STAFF THAT DO THEIR BEST TO PROVIDE GUESTS WITH PROPER AND TIMELY ASSISTANCE AND SERVICE. SUPER CLEAN, COMFORTABLE ROOM AND BATHROOM. NICE, FIRM BED. I HAD LUNCH ON ARRIVAL, A NICE SALMON CEVICHE, AND AN A SUBLIME MAIN OF ROASTED PORK CHOPS AND SAUTÉED VEGETABLES.

MY ROOM DIDN´T HAVE A/C (WHICH I LOVE), BUT A SQUEAKY CEILING FAN (ON TOP OF THE BED) MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP IT ON TO COOL DOWN THE ROOM/BED DURING DAY OR NIGHT. ALTHOUGH MY ROOM HAD ACCESS THROUGH GLASS DOORS AND WINDOWS TO A VERY NICE SHARED TERRACE; THE LACK OF MOSQUITO NETTING AT THE DOORS/WINDOWS MADE THEM USELESS TO KEEP THEM OPEN AT NIGHT TO COOL DOWN AND LISTEN TO NICE NATURE SOUNDS THAT COULD BE ENJOYED DUE TO THE SECLUDED LOCATION OF THE HOTEL (AS LITTLE BUGS AND PESKY FLIES TEND TO INVADE THE ROOM DAY AND NIGHT).
