Location is great, breakfast was good. The host was so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Yendegaia house. The host was knowledgeable to recommend local attractions and to help us with directions to travel around Tierra del Fuego in Chile as well in Argentina

This is THE place to stay in Porvenir....The house is 100 years old and has been lovingly renovated and looked after.I arrived before check-in time but was made most welcome by Vincente....My room was warm,clean and comfortable and sleep quality was excellent....Breakfast was perfect-served at 6.30 in the morning as I was taking the early ferry back to Punta Arenas....Location was excellent-a short walk to Plaza de Armas and to restaurants....The staff really made my stay enjoyable.I want to mention Vincente and Tatiana-two lovely people...Definitely worth returning to...Top marks....10 out of 10

What a wonderful spot. I could see myself settling in for a few days with a good book in the library of this hotel. The owner was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, wifi was great, and breakfast was excellent.

This is the place to stay in Porvenir! It is a lovely old building with great character. The host was very welcoming. It was New Year's Day and all the restaurants were closed. He made us lovely cheese and ham toasties and even gave me a bottle of beer! The breakfast was very good and nice and early as we needed to get to the Parque Penguino Rey by 10:00 am. An interesting detail is that his Father wrote the famous "Birds of Chile" book which you find everywhere, usually in Spanish. There is plenty of parking on the street outside.

Great, clean, older lodging house with all the amenities a traveler could ask for. Vicente and his family were great hosts, provided excellent service and were extremely hospitable. Would highly recommend this lodging if you’re visiting Porvenir.

Clean and simple rooms. Very cozy common area (and on site coffee shop with delicious desserts). Although not a lot to do in Porvenir, this hotel makes great overnight lodging if you are going to the King Penguin park.

Visiting Yendegaia house was a highlight of this trip. We had stayed a few nights in Punta Arenas and during high season, it's hard to be comfortable. Heading over to Porvenir and seeing Tierra del Fuego from Yendegaia House was something I'd love to repeat. The house would serve as a great jumping off point for the rest of the area. The history, comfort and hospitality were real highlights.

Clean, comfortable beds (best we had in Chile), convenient, and authentic. The host was very helpful and gave us pointers for our travels down south and to see the penguins (more accurate info than we had). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very few negatives. The only room available when I booked was a twin rather than double - no big deal really.

Excellent location, with an easy walk to restaurants and the foreshore. An old building (~100 yrs) with lots of character, it was warm, comfortable, and had a nice common room area. The hosts were extremely helpful, spoke excellent English, and made the best coffee I’ve had so far in South America. Breakfast was great too, and there was an area for off street parking. Highly recommended.

An old building means poor sound proofing. The neighbours were a little noisy and inconsiderate.

Lovely old wooden hotel which is nicely appointed. Large room with modern clean bathroom. Good shower and hot water. Super friendly and helpful owners. Excellent breakfast and one of the few places I stayed which has real coffee. Secure parking for motorcycles.
