How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewNice staff, very welcoming and available. Good breakfast, and tasty food for lunch / dinner at a reasonable price. The outside area is perfect for chilling.
WIFI was sometimes too weak, but we were assisted in finding solutions. Rooms could have been cleaner, but in general all was good.

The internet didn’t work for the last 2-3 days of my stay. Electricity was on and off and I was told there was an issue with the generator. The water flow in the shower and the toilet was weak.

Dear Mr Jamlick. on your Reservation it was written that the Room has a pan and not an AC. for the share bathroom you knew it also before. that is what was affordable for you, as you could not pay the Room with AC and Interne badroom. so you knew and choose it, and that's why i cant understand that you are reporting it here. You have change the Room frɔm the bigger one to that one. At your place if paying 16200 FCFA for the Room was not ok looking at the Price quality, you should have Look for another Hotel. your attitude is just not serious. concerning The Wifi and cable Tv, we are sorry for that. our Provider has an issue which we could not control. and we are looking forward to organise a backup at list for the wifi. At your place , i would avoid leaving such unserious impression of my person im Internet. Verified reviewOn a more positive note, I must mention that the facilities and amenities of the hotel remained as impressive as they were during my initial stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the other staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful during my first stay.
I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel in Yaoundé for the second time, and my experience was a stark contrast to my previous visit. During my first stay, I was genuinely impressed by the quality of service (From the receptionist called John, and the kitchen staff) and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, but unfortunately, my most recent encounter left me deeply disappointed. Upon returning to the hotel after 11 days, I expected a similar level of hospitality and professionalism. However, my encounter with the receptionist was nothing short of disheartening. The receptionist, whose name I caught to be Grace (with a French pronunciation), treated me with a level of rudeness and indifference that was shocking. It's not unreasonable to expect courteous and respectful service when checking into a hotel, but I felt as though I was met with hostility instead. The stark difference between the warm reception I received during my first stay and the cold, unhelpful attitude on this occasion was jarring. I tried to maintain my composure and remain polite throughout our interaction, despite the receptionist's demeanor. Nevertheless, it was a deeply unpleasant experience that tarnished my perception of this establishment. It's essential for a hotel to maintain consistency in service quality and guest treatment. The discrepancy between my two visits is concerning, and I hope that the management takes steps to address this issue. Every guest, whether returning or new, should be treated with respect and courtesy.
whats happen. please bring the facts. what did you mean with irespectful. my Team told me you have been ask to pay during your stay. it look like you wanted to pay during the check out. is that the issue??? two weeks ago your feedback was wonderdul on all the criteria, now because of "irespectful" exchange that you are not bringing to the point, the House is not clean enough or is dirty. the price/service quality is not good enough and so one.... how is it possible to make those Kind of conclusion. As i have write to you last week, i wish you would learn from this big mistake and you wont repeat it elsewhere. Hopping and wishing you more "bienveillance" in the future. i appreciate how you are recognozing and changing your mistakes, marks and notation. but what about the facts of the unfortunate encounter..... waiting to know concretely whats happen and why my personnel were fortunate to deserve your "great"notes...
