Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesExpensive
An expensive hotel in a secure neighborhood near many embassies. Bastos is an upscale neighborhood. If traveling for business from the US, the high expense is mediated by the kindness of staff, shuttle from NSI airport, and quality of facilities. After 24 hours of travel it may be worth the money. There are probably other great options at a lower price, but I enjoyed myself.

IndiaStaff Cooperation was poor. No Synchronization amongst the staff. I faced severe problem during my check in with the Night manager. he said i have no room booked and he enjoyed troubling me and finally i made another booking through booking.com and he said hotel is overbooked. For warly checkin i even offered 50% of room rate but he denied then another person gave me early checkin for free at 8:30 so from 5 to 8:30 am i was sitting in lobby. That person should be thrown out of hotel. Lady who checkin early to me my room was booked and dont know why he did not give me the room. I had booking at 150 USD including breakfast while with booking.com i paid 175 usd around without breakfast and then after my complain breakfast voucher was given complimentary although next morning breakfast person said this voucher is not valid after my harsh words he cheked and said it is Ok. So no system in the hotel.

United Arab EmiratesThe floor is not carpeted and some of the towels were not properly washed. I also found hairs on the bedsheets and on the tiled floors. Some of the staffers were struggling to speak English even though the country is bilingual with an excellent pool of English speakers.
The breakfast is sumptuous and affordable. The hotel is located in the upmarket Bastos neighbourhood of Cameroon’s capital Yaounde. It’s a walk away from most of the leisure centres of the city. The staff is friendly.

United StatesMy rate didn’t include breakfast which I feel is a bit stingy. It would have been nice if they have offered breakfast without me having to pay extra everyday for it.
Everything was great! It’s so modern and comfortable. All the mod cons are there. Nice good. Gym and lovely pool, etc. Staff are nice and attentive. Breakfast buffet was very nice in the morning. Great location in Bastos near lots of restaurants and offices etc. Safe area.

BelgiumThe prices are too high for what the hotel offers. There is a lot of room for improvement in general from a service point of view… No zero lactose option for breakfast (which is super expensive for what is on offer) and in addition you’ll have to pay extra for “real” coffee or espresso… The hotel restaurant is very expensive and not worth it…
Very comfortable bedding and great room overall with nice bathroom. Nice personnel Beautiful views Nice small gym

AngolaEverything is to be paid for, even borrowing an empty plate (5000 CFA) , the Hotel should be reasonable on guest, given that they spend 175-200 EUR per day on the facility. Point to be improved.
The quality of the bed and littery was incredible and the Pool was very very pleasant to swim into, followed by a good time at the bar

United KingdomThe airport shuttle service is badly in need of improvement. I had an early flight on 2 Oct 2023 and tried to book the shuttle the afternoon before. I was told the shuttle did not run before 7am but I wanted to leave at 6 5.30am. I think this is a mistake as I saw that at least 6 people all wanted to travel to the airport at this same time. I think the shuttle should be available for special bookings outside usual hours if there is enough interest. But I also have a problem with how the alternative taxi option was handled by your staff. I was told I could pre book a taxi instead. I did this and my room number was looked up on the computer and some kind of booking made and a price of CFA 20,000. Bur the next morning when I went to reception my booking seemed not to exist and there was no taxi for me. A new one was orded by your desk staff called "Emmanuel". I was told it would be 20mkns but in fact it was 30 mins. If I had been told I need to rebook or check my booking on the day of travel I could have easily done so as I was up at 4am. The arranging of punctual airport pickups is a core function of any hotel. And I'd expect a much better service from such a top end and quality hotel as yours. I would suggest this matter needs addressing as a priority Some reception staff were quite abrupt and rude for seemingly no reason but most staff were good and friendly

NetherlandsIn general reception attended well. In one case the woman was really impolite and by absence of a shuttle to the airport she suggested a friend mentioning a price twice as much as would be charged for the shuttle, which in my opinion is a scam.

United StatesThe shuttle bus WiFi was not working when I was picked up as it had not been recharged. There was some confusion between the Booking.com messages and what actually transpired. For example, booking the shuttle for an incoming guest to the same hotel through Booking.com messages suggested that the guest was registered to be picked up, only to find that the guest was not listed in the pick-up log. This was quickly corrected, but in the end, the name of the guest was never given to the shuttle driver. Fortunately, the driver welcomed the guest regardless. I am still unclear as to how the mistake occurred since the front desk is bilingual.
This is by far one of the best hotels in Yaounde, even better than the Hilton. There are armed and unarmed security, a parking garage and bilingual front desk. They offer an airport shuttle from NSI to/from hotel for 10,000 XAF, which may seem pricey until you realize you are traveling at night upon arrival and also upon departure from NSI for flights to Europe. Food is excellent (especially the breakfast with extensive selections and an omelet/crepe bar). The coffee served during breakfast was not bad but go early so that it is not sitting for too long. Breakfast may be considered a tad bit expensive at 15,000 XAF (~$24), but if you are working all day and skipping lunch, you can definitely have your fill. I think it is great, because when working and moving from one meeting and site to another, lunch can be an afterthought. The bar and pool area are excellent, though service can be slow since there are few servers out by the pool area during the day. Great patisserie with espresso (to make up for the morning coffee) with excellent desserts. The location in Bastos is great, with many local restaurants in walkable, safe distance. A major Orange telecom store is nearby. To highlight convenience, there is a WORKING Afriland Bank ATM machine/cashpoint in the lobby.
