“The breakfast was really good, with a wide selection of local dishes and some "western" alternatives. Good coffee and the best tea we had during our entire stay in China. Tea was also offered in our room and in the sitting room area at all times. We appreciated it a lot! We loved the hosts and their cats. Our activities went so smoothly, much because the host had a taxi driver friend who was always available for us, it seemed. We got picked up at the train station, and driven there when leaving. We had transport to Xidi with him (and he waited for us until we wanted to return!), and when we were going to the Yellow mountain for our hike the next day, it took care of everything. Thank you so much! Walking around town, we found many gems, like the special store for paint brushes! Beware that the restaurants close quite early. The first night, we were too late, but we found one place open, serving a soup, which was fabulous!”
