How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room door loudly announces itself whenever someone opens it, which is guaranteed to wake you up. The main bathroom area is cramped, so that everyone will hear any toilet noises.
You already know that this is not a luxury accommodation, but because of that, it attracts the best type of tourists. I met legendary people here. Everything you need is purchasable, including breakfast and a decent selection of beer. The location was great, I fell in love with Beijing. Despite the poor rating, the wifi was okay for me.

It is not the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed at. The room was quite small for 4 people, but we had our own bathroom. For a few days it was fine, would stay here again just for the price! But expect nothing fancy.
Nice location right next to the lama temple and close to the subway (5 min walk). They provide a lot of drinks and food and breakfast for a small price, so you don’t have to find a supermarket for small things. The staff was friendly and helpful!

The building is very old and the bathrooms deserve renovation but all over it's fine for a few days and the staff cleaned regularly.
Staff was friendly and the location good. The hostel is located in an alley, looks a bit weird first but it's safe there. I had a bit trouble finding it, the lication ln booking is different, make sure you copy &paste the chinese address when ordering a didi. The little kiosk at reception was great to get some snacks and drinks when needed. I loved the working air condition!

While the price is good for Beijing, the price is still a little higher in comparison to what you get. Facilities are a little dated and basic compared to other hostels I stayed in across China.
It was very social when I was there which was really nice. Staff were super helpful and accommodating and there was lots of space to work from/hang out in so you're not confined to your room. I found the location to be really good and very close to the metro station and easy access to the airport and train stations.

The floor was a little dirty and the showers were a bit unclean and hard to use.
For the options in Beijing, this was a fantastic option. The cost was great value and overall they had lots of accommodations. The other guests seemed friendly. Beijing is a very large city, but the location was near a good train stop, so it was easy to get around.

There was not really a common room to sit in, especially when you sleep in two different dorms.
It was pretty clean with a shared bathroom and multiple showers. The showers were cabin showers. The beds were comfortable too.

Situated in a walking distance from metro, the place is hidden in a quiet neighborhood. The room and bed are comfy, and I love common areas where travellers can chat there in a casual ambience. Staff are friendly and speak good English.

Unfortunately you don't have privacy like no curtains, small room for everyone, there is a washer but no dryer as you air dry your clothes and gets dirty again, restrooms and showers are not that clean.
Most of the staff can help you out, and it's very close to the Subway station

It's central, right next to the temple and close to everything else, they organise tour if you didn't find it before getting here and the staff is great!... I think the price it's a bit high but standard to Beijing hostels. Highly recommended
