How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booked a non smoking room, they put me in a smoking room, odor was awful so then I got moved the following day as there was not any rooms on the day left. Moved in to new room and the toilet was blocked, reported it and they came unblocked it left dirty toilet water in the seat and the tissue out the toilet in the bin next to the toilet! Absolutely disgusting. WiFi does not work, fridge was not working in the first night room I stayed in. When reported all this they don’t speak English or understand at front desk! As helpful as the ladies tried to be it just wasn’t very much so! Then being told that our toilet system does not flush toilet paper and bins are provided for the tissue I think is actually disgusting that you can’t go to the toilet without flushing the toilet paper! Apart from these few things, after reporting these things and complaining to the management I’m told by email we hope you enjoyed your stay at paco! Would not recommend if you are a hygienic human.

Verified reviewLocation is very good specially if you want to visit Hong Kong or Macau.You can go on foot to Hong Kong border. Rooms are nice. Bed confortable. Laundry room free of charge.
There ia no any TV channel. You can prwss ok, but nothing happened.I asked and they firstly said ..."we will come ro room to fix". But they didn't come.After half an hour I came back down to desk. Then they told me that they do not have. At least they can say that at the first place.

Unfortunately the noise from the construction in front of the hotel. This generate one big traffic, and a lot off noise from the cars. It's not a hotel problem, but is not so pleasant if you want to rest.

Verified reviewThe location was great though it took me a little while to figure out that the Luohu Port and Commercial City were quite close and accessible via subway just up the road. The breakfasts were excellent and there were some excellent small restaurants close by.
The ongoing renovations meant that on my last day I had to about 100m down the road to the cop station where I was able to get the lift up to my floor and walk down the corridor to my room and vice versa to get back out. The WiFi was a bit patchy and though it was supposed to be an International Hotel the staff didn't speak or understand English and had to rely on an AI translation tool
