We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThis is a relatively small traditional Chinese hotel with modern touches - a real oasis. The staff (Belle ,Juliya,Vivi, Joey and Frank were all extremely nice and personable. They spoke English well and were able to give me information to navigate Chengdu on my own. I could’ve also booked a tour through the hotel. They even booked me a Didi ride. Breakfast was very good with many options, including freshly made wonton soup. Not at all like a large, impersonal Hotel.
Nothing of consequence. There was not a large, air-conditioned lobby, but I was very comfortable there.

Verified reviewThe hotel is in an excellent location, away from the heavy traffic of Chengdu. Moreover, the metro is less than 200 meters away and can take you anywhere in no time. The staff is fantastic and extremely helpful in organizing one-day or multi-day tours. The hotel manager, together with his team (especially Joey), helped us with everything we needed. The hotel courtyard is very welcoming, and the rooms are very spacious. Free laundry service is also available.

They helped us with tour bookings, Didi bookings, Alipay and any general queries or problems we encountered, even bringing out umbrellas to our taxi when it was raining as we returned to the hotel. Being able to converse in English was great (someone is at the front desk 24/7). The food in their restaurant was great - tasty, large servings and very reasonably priced. Verified reviewWe would give 11 stars if we could. 1. The hotel was conveniently located near the Kwanjai street area. 2. The staff were friendly and helpful. The counter staff also spoke English. 3. Great breakfast- fair selection of Western and Chinese food (including hot noodle station serving local must-try Tan Tan Noodles). 4. Free laundry service – the clothes are washed separately (1 room’s load in 1 machine). Imagine having your clothes washed, dried, folded, and handed back to you at the end a busy day out! 5. Daily refill of bottled drinking water. Speaking of drinks, there was also a drinks station at the entrance- warm chrysanthemum tea or cold cucumber-infused water - your choice. Great corner to hang out with your family/travel mates while perfecting your plans for the day. 6. Free airport pick-up. Clean and comfortable MPV. 7. Heritage architecture. From our conversation with the staff, we learned that the hotel was converted from an ancient administrative office. The structures were well-maintained. Only downside to this was that there were no lifts due to local safety regulations on historical buildings. Thankfully, the staff were quick to help us with our luggage both during check-in and check-out. 8. Local tours available for booking. Illegal rides are prevalent, so we chose the safe option by booking through the hotel. 9. Free Chinese costume available for photoshoot in the hotel, both for ladies and gentlemen. 10. The hotel itself houses a Sichuan restaurant at the ground floor. We had our dinner there and it tasted great. Prices were reasonable. Totalled to RMB 152 for 4 pax. 11. Other eateries within walking distance. Many Mala Hotpot restaurants along the street, along with a Cantonese-style restaurant for those looking for less spicy alternatives. 12. Souvenir shops just doors away – handy for last-minute gifts. 13. Umbrellas available for borrowing. Sturdy umbrellas. 14. Cake and local wine served on our first night of stay.

Verified reviewThe staff we're amazing. Very friendly and useful, they booked all the day trips on our behalf and even gave us phone chargers when ours didn't work. They really made the hotel experience awesome, and our first time in China a lot easier.
The only thing is very small but the toilets in the resteraunt area weren't great. Would not put me off staying here again.

Verified reviewPicked this hotel based on reviews and and made no mistake. Administrator was attentive and very nice with very good English, what is important for China. Free room upgrade in low season. The hotel is located on a beautiful street in authentic Chinese style. Close to metro, so it is easy to get the panda base by metro+bus. Airport is also easy reachable by metro. Will definitely stay here again, maybe to visit Jiuzhaigou next time.

Verified reviewThe property is very traditional and looks lovely. Perfect location for the metro and walking to main square. We ate at the hotel a couple of nights and the food was delicious. Breakfast was a mixture of Chinese and Western. When we asked for a breakfast to go as we were leaving early one morning it was all there ready at 6.15am,even though breakfast doesn’t start until later. The real selling point are Frank and his staff. We have stayed in many hotels including 5 star ones but never experienced such exceptional service as we did here. From our check in to departure nothing was too much trouble. Frank goes above and beyond to make his visitors happy. We received an upgrade on our room,cake and wine as a thank you for staying and a gift on departure. But even without these gestures you could tell he loved his job and he wanted to do it well. Thank-you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Verified reviewWe got a very friendly welcome from the manager. All our bags were taken up to our room and we were served a complimentary glass of wine each on the balcony with juice for the kids. The room was much bigger than we were expecting and very comfortable. The location is excellent, just across the road from the Sichuan Opera.
