Beautiful hotel. Room was cleaned daily with lot of amenities (water, tea, coffee) replenished daily. Staff was super helpful and speaks english. I suggest to book the transfer to and from the station/airport with them as it's often difficult to find a didi/taxi.

There is only one word that can be described during our stay at their hotel. Excellent! For tourists that can't really speak Mandarin, don't worry, their reception staff can speak English fluently. They help us a lot, including managing our transport to our next destination since we couldn't get a train ticket. So if you are planning to visit Dali, I recommend you to stay in this hotel.

I'm giving this guesthouse an 8 of 10 because, while the atmosphere and service were lovely, I found the price a bit high relative to the facilities and the quality of the guest rooms. For the amount paid, I had expected a bit more in terms of comfort and amenities for the rooms we booked.

This guesthouse is beautifully surrounded by greenery, with flowing water features and fish adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The courtyard is especially charming—a lovely place to relax. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always taking the time to patiently answer any questions we had. The location is excellent—just steps from one of the entrances to Dali Old Town and close to restaurants, bus stops, and local markets. It made planning day trips to surrounding areas incredibly convenient, thanks to easy access to public buses, taxis, and ride-hailing services.

Highly recommend staying here! It’s outside of the main Dali old city, so you get peace and quiet but are right beside the action. Hotel is beautiful. Staff speak English too and are very friendly, Lin in particular was very helpful and nice to talk to.

Very clean and spacious rooms and the inside of the Hotel is also super cool! Lin was also very nice and helpful when we had questions and gave us some helpful pointers for Dali. Definitely recommend!

Location is close to the old city, yet tucked in a quiet area. Even though they do not serve breakfast, lots of breakfast options near the hotel. Do try the soybean stall at the morning market across the hotel… it’s sooooo good. Service staff were excellent! Very helpful and friendly!

The ambience of the hotel was excellent & we had a large comfortable double room with views of the Cangshan hills. Lin, on reception, & Tien had very good English with Lin being a mind of information both regarding the area & his country. Good free laundry facility as well. Great location.

The interior design of this hotel is exceptional. It provides a very calm and welcoming environment. Room was very spacious with comfortable bed and pillow. Staffs very very helpful and friendly. Facilities and amenities also complete. There is a halal restaurant near the hotel for muslim traveller.Location also very strategic which is near to ancient city. In overall, I am very satisfied with my stay in this hotel.

Location wise very close to the old town. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. He gave us a lot tips on restaurants and how to go and also helped arrange a car for us to go to Lijiang. Nice interior design and comfortable bed

Our stay at Dali Yanyuan was fabulous! The location is closed to the south gate of the Dali old town and big market - we timed our visit well enough to enjoy the incredible market activities and street foods. Our inn keeper, nicked name “elephant” was a kind, handsome young fellow who speaks impeccable English. He picked us up at the bus stop and helped with our luggages. He also gave us information and tips for sightseeing. We ended up exchanging lots of local and travel stories :) The property was spacious, quiet and very beautiful. Beds and pillows were very comfortable that we had a good night of rest. Too bad we stayed just one night :( We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

The place is enchanting and every detail is curated. It is well located (nearby the ancient town) but also in a quiet street. The staff has been extremely helpful. They arranged my transportation and have been really kind. The rooms are very high quality and the breakfast was great. I highly recommend this

Accommodation's location was good, tucked inside a side lane hence away from the crowd and noise. Reception staff was very helpful and gave good advice on transport options for visiting the various tourist attractions. The room was also cozy with a very comfortable bed. Bottled water was provided every day. One can make use of the washing machine and dryer to wash our laundry with complimentary use of laundry detergent. Highly recommended for one to stay here during your visit to Dali.

It is within walking distance to the Dali Ancient City. Some good restaurants are in close vicinity. There is a street market nearby that sells delicious breakfast. Sheng (sorry may have spelled your name wrong) and Catherine were super friendly and helpful staff and spoke fluent English. Free pick-up service from the train station if you stay 3 nights or more. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you.
