Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is fantastic. The Hotel is set in a beautiful park surrounded by trees, giving the hotel a secluded feel even though it is a 10/15 min walk from the city center. The staff were very easy to contact via wechat re: shuttle bus from the park entrance to the hotel and were very responsive. The rooms are big and the facilities were great, its really good value for money. Overall a brilliant place to stay in Guilin.

United KingdomStaff does not speak English; shuttle bus didn't come for 20 minutes as some security guys refused to call reception, poor breakfast (some options for foreigners like more fruit and yogurt would really make a difference).
Location (in front of the river, close to the town, in the middle of reservoir) hotel tub, swimming pool, access to facilities such as laundry for free, shuttle bus.

Hong KongBreakfasts provided are very simple and mostly Chinese basic food. The whole dining hall is not very clean. The property is right next to the river, so the hotel can be flooded when it rains heavily. We could not get our luggage back until the water subsided and we had to take a later train.
The hotel is located inside a park right in the middle of the city. Cars cannot go in and guests are transported by golf carts to the hotel site. It’s a tranquil place with lots of greens. The staff are friendly and helpful.

SpainA minor thing and temporal: workers were making noise the whole day with drills and other machines. A peaceful place like this should be for silent and birds singing, not for city noises. In my opinion, if there are works to do, the hotel should close those days.

United KingdomThere is a shuttle bus through the park so you get dropped off at a park entrance which is easy to navigate but a bit of a surprise. There is no restaurant despite advertising there is one so make sure you don’t need to eat! The breakfast is basic and Chinese … would be nice if they had cereal at the least

United KingdomStaff speak minimal English which can be slightly hard! Rooms are dated, bathrooms need renovating with old fashioned baths and tiles/grout need cleaning/updating. Outdoor pool was closed throughout our stay which was disappointing. Due to flooding, the hotel needed to be evacuated and we were informed on the day that we needed to change hotels and we would be refunded - this was incredibly stressful, but could not be helped!
Hotel is inside a park which is very tropical and scenic. 24 hour use of shuttle bus (via WeChat) is useful to get to and fro hotel/ticket office.

United StatesI can not think of any problem with the hotel. I noticed that the hotel is undergoing remodeling. I am sure it will be better in the future.
It is located in a park, where various kinds of trees provide perfect shade for the walking path. One can have a great view of the famous scene "Elephant Trunk Hill" from the park's observation deck. The staff is extremely friendly and is always there for guests. The hotel provides drinking water and fruits to guests. I would highly recommend it to visitors to Guilin.
