How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There are already tea cups and an electric kettle in the room, so it would be nice if guests were provided with teaspoons, too. Also, the bathroom door was broken so we couldn’t lock it, hope, the hotel will fix this inconvenience.

Verified reviewLovely hotel. Offered a complimentary coffee upon arrival. As well as cold water and tea available. There was a bar and they offered breakfast at an extra cost but we did not have any. They had a cat room! You have to book an appointment time to see them, the seemed happy and healthy and had a mix of different ages. The hotel was easy to locate and they have a big bright sign outside. Its pretty close to the Xi'an wall, it took about 15 minutes to walk to. We used the laundry room - everything worked well, dryer included. Fun art pieces found inside the hotel, front desk was helpful but sometimes had a language barrier. The rooms were very nice - large and comfy, slippers included. Heated toilet seat and a rainfall shower. But black hair was left on the floor upon check-in.

Verified reviewWe loved everything about this place. The location is very convenient, walking distance from the city wall. All the spaces are clean, pleasant, very artsy. The staff is very good and super helpful. Many of them speak decent English. Our room was great, super comfortable, bog enough for 3 people to unpack and have space to relax after the whole day. Breakfast choices were good and once day we had to leave early and got our breakfast pack to take away, it was so nice and thoughtful. We visited the cat room once, our daughter loved the experience. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Xi'An!

Friendly, helpful staff who shared real interest in making our stay comfortable. Rooms that were not extravagant, but comfortable, clean and cozy. Had self-serve laundered and a gym that were easy to access.
Breakfast was eh…not bad, but nothing to remember. Coffee, however, was just fine.

Room where people have been smoking before. Not one word english which makes it a hassle from time to time to communicate. Impression that there is an issue with the bar (owned by another company) as it was never open during our stay.
